mothzi, to me it's pretty equal with both cuts. You look like an androgynous young male to me.

I just got a new haircut, and I wanted to hear if it helped me look more masculine or just a bit androgynous?

From what I saw of it, you look really good. Only got like two seconds because apparently tiny pic doesn't want to work on my phone, but it was long enough. You look good.

Imo you should wear your hair with bangs, and have you shaped your eyebrows at all? Giving them a shape and strengthening them would work well imo.

No, but it's a poor picture. You should shape your eyebrows.

I think Dorian gave you really good advice above, penta  bangs do a lot. I have short bangs now, which is girly and all, but my hair is a bit too curly ^^ I think bangs to the side would work for both of us

Perfectly: Try concealer + foundation if you want to do close-ups pre hrt etc.!
The face is really hard, and hair is one of the most important things, your school is so mean :frowning2:
My tip: Try some foundation (look up how first if you don't know!) and put on an andro/girly hat/cap

Envy, from the waist up, I'd say you're somewhat androgynous. Perhaps some different pants, maybe cargo pants to visually bulk up your lower body to match the upper. As far as actually passing, I'd say you are probably in the range where things that can't be captured in a still, such as voice and mannerisms will make the difference.

You actually have much going for you, and only a few small things I think clock you or make you suspect.

Your eyebrows are clean with a shape, and while this is not bad; men tend to /never/ touch their eyebrows and have a 'bushy' appearance. Yours are very kempt; which while they look great! May no be helpful in trying to nail every point for a pass.

Eyebrows are a small thing of course, but every little bit helps.

Your glasses are curvy, and take on a more feminine nature. Men tend to have blocky or more rigid frames that go along with sharper face features. It's another small thing but honestly, past these two you look male to me.

Are you on T? If I may ask of course. I believe you have a great foundation for transition, and the only thing I can think of to really help is possible testosterone to help 'un-soften' your face.

It's hard to see in the picture, but your body looks male to me. Being a larger individual can help, because it gives you a pass when it comes to proportions, whereas sometimes being too skinny can reveal an undesired bone structure. I myself struggle with broad shoulders but I'm hoping if I lose some of my weight that my upper body might give a smaller appearance in the hopes of keeping my lower half as is. I've had to give up on so many outfits Dx

Really hope that helps, when it comes to threads like these in regards to passing, I want to be brutal but polite in my honesty. My thinking is that this thread is not here for a pat on the back or for sooth-sayings; we're here to help pass.

    ________

I don't pluck my eyebrows or anything, they really just grew in this way, so there's not much I can do in that department.

Thank you for the tip about my glasses though. I can't really afford new frames right now, but when I can I will probably get more square frames for them.

I am not on T, I will be as soon as possible though.

I think my picture gives pretty accurate deacription of my proportions, i suppose parts of not passing are my height, and voice.

Thank you so much for the advice, I appreciat it very much.

    _____

The pants I'm wearing are men's Cargo pants, I think part of the problem might be how I'm wearing them because I'm so short. You're probably right, about the voice and mannerisms thing, I have a very high pitched voice, at 22 I still sound like a 14 year old girl, and when I get nervous I accidently talk even higher pitched. That's probably my biggest problem. Thank you so much for the advice.

Do you have anything in the pockets? Some cargo pants are designed not to expand those without something in them...
