I liked the finale, but I personally saw Ted being happier with Tracy than Robin, as much as I love Ted and Robin. I was not very happy.
"Barney did change eventually after he had his daughter. He walks up to two hit women at the bar and tells them to put on more clothes then go home and call their parents." Exactly. Barney's character goes back to square one so he can re-learn how to not be an manhwore. That's not good writing.
How's is he going back to square one? Square one was him hitting on any chick that passé him by. Obviously after having a daughter, he would never treat those woman th same way after that. I don't know how you think that's bad writing
I'm disappointed but... not to stop watching reruns the season as a whole was good and quiet emotionl
Have you watched the entire series or have you just jumped from season 1 to the final episode? Barney already went through devellopment in past seasons from womanizer to realize that the lifestyle is meaningless and he exspect more of his life. Then the final just after he divorce Robin he reverts back like he was at the beginning of the series just to go through the very same character devellopment after his daughter is born. :bang: In ten years, I will still hate that final with passion.
I've seen every episode of the series multiple times and I think that after the divorce was sort of like his relapse and then he was able to finally change at the end
Spoiler I kind of always thought that Ted would end up with Robin. I can't believe they built it up just to kill off the mother, either, though. I wasn't really that into the show to begin with, so I can't really say I'm disappointed. I liked how they kind of left the series feeling 'finished', though.
