Oh yeah. I'm actually playing through Pokemon Y as a girl just because the girl trainer has more customization options.

When playing Halo Wars, I usually play as Professor Ellen Anders. I invariably play as a female character in Pokemon. It just feels... correct.

  5. I played as a Female Khajiit in Skyrim
    Siren in Borderlands 2
Loved being ada wong in RE4
Usually fight as a female character in fighting games

I like to play as a girl in games a lot

usually girls are the best characters in fighting games like in dead or alive. gays seem to have a psychological advantage in that game.

I sometimes play as a female character, mostly in games I don't have a choice with, but there was one or two times I selected female on purpose, just for a change.

I always play as a female character especially in rpgs. Female rogue assassins are badass!

I use to play Runescape as a male character. Ultimately people assumed I was a guy and I just went with it. Never hurt anyone or anything, I'm even still friends with a girl from there who originally thought I was male. I had even told her my name was the male version of my real name. About a decade later and we're still friends.

When I was a kid I just preferred to play only male characters, probably some reason behind it, but I don't think it matters. Nowadays I prefer playing as female characters.

If I have the choice, I tend to prefer playing female characters, generally because they have the nicer customisation options .

Depends. Some games I'm biased towards female characters because they have long hair options where the male characters don't (which, to any game devs out there, is total bullshit. Thanks.)

In games that don't have this weird restriction, I play a balance of male and female characters, usually playing a different gender to the one beforehand, including non-binary genders if that's an option (as it is in stuff like D&D and forum RPs).

The character I play as depends on the game. Gender doesn't really matter to me, it's appearance (in the case of customizable characters) and play style/gameplay effect (in other cases) that affect my choices.

I play a female sometimes in games where I get to create my own character, but not usually in games with preset characters. If it's a game where I can create my own I usually look at the options I have for both first and decide based on that.

Sometimes when I play the same Pokémon game more than once I'll play as a guy character for the sake of variety. Coliseum and XD sort of lacked the choice, much like the original Red/Blue. Did the same thing with Skyrim too, but I got kinda bored with that run.

I tend to play Lucario and Fox a lot in Smash too. So yeah, it's just less frequent.
