I was browsing TUmblr and found this and thought I would share this In response to "First Kiss", a group came out with a First Gay Hug where they would have 15 homophobes hug people that were gay. As predicted, some of those hesitated hugging people that were gay but afterwards: They discovered that it was no big deal.
It turns out that the first kiss video was a clothing advertisement with actors/actresses. I think it failed because I barely paid attention to what they wore. I hope that this video is not just another marketing ploy because this is not a bad idea. The lady making the sign of the cross at 0:27 made me roll my eyes. That seemed a bit too much. It made me question whether this was scripted or is she really that ignorant...
If you go on the actual video, there are people trying to figure out if this is real or scripted but in any light, this is just so damn beautiful.
It's not a marketing ploy though, it was done by "The Gay Women Channel" (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCdwFnSqn35OljNlJSRSDXoQ ) on YouTube. They are Youtbubers that do comedy videos regularly
This made me smile, especially the Asian lady who was likely Catholic. I could just imagine what was going through her head when her daughter was also there (because for many homophobes gay=pedophile). It looks a little scripted, but that could be due to editing and selection of the homophobes. Only the guy with glasses seemed really scared.
"You could tell I was gay?" (Gay young man) "Yeah, I mean, look at you, you're gorgeous." (Older lady) :roflmao:
I can't help but find what two of the men say, "I think you're sex is kind of gross." And the other returns with, "Well, I think you're sex is kind of gross," quite amusing but somewhat true
I agree, like the kiss video that was scripted. And really what it was like, u go on the street, somehow find homophobic people and then tell them "come hug a gay guy" ? Then they come and hug them and life is beautiful yay... If only it was that easy
