    Gay-cure potion? Hell no.

But if there were a magic asexuality inducing potion I'd take that in a heart beat. I really enjoyed not having to be bothered except in an abstract sense. Then I turned 25 and suddenly my hormones have gone nuts and I want in people's pants in a non-abstract way and I do not know how to deal with this.

    Stupid delayed sexual awakening.

Or probably any sexual orientation under the sun... bi, pan, etc. Even with this consideration, I would still not take the cure. I can't see myself being any other way.

If I was twelve I might have taken it. Today I wouldn't take it.

Might save me another burden (bearing in mind I'm questioning, and I already have a ton of other problems).

No, I don't want a cure. I want acceptance. I think liking women is great. I just wish society was more accepting of it.

More than a little impressed (if unsurprised) at these answers. It's a completely alien concept to me to imagine being at peace with my own queer proclivities. Then again, my attractions aren't precisely, mundanely gay as the thread title indicates (I don't think), they tend to lean a lot more "fringe", shall we say. Were there a cure to permanently straighten these proclivities of mine, yes, I would take it in a heartbeat. Being constantly tortured by guilt and shame is no fun.

Ye when I said "cure" I meant for others to interpert it as they will.
My notion was that this pill will make your life easier and will remove your attraction to same-sex people ^^

    I'd take it.
I know what it's like liking the same sex and the problems they face.
I wouldn't have to worry about discrimination for my sexual orientation at the very least. I no longer have the internalized homophobia so I have a rational view of homosexuals now. If I take the pill I still remember the same sex attraction but I'd no longer have to worry about discrimination for my orientation.

Lets say it'll make you love the opposite sex and not the same sex, without side effects?

Maybe in the past to save myself all the self doubt and worry. But now? Definitely not. In coming to accept myself I've not only learned more about myself, but it's opened my eyes to greater understanding of everyone around me, and this is the happiest I've ever been now that I'm out to myself. I wouldn't change me for the world

Hmm. I don't love the same sex, though in that case it's a bit hard to imagine, but...I probably wouldn't take it. Sure it would make life more convenient, but I like things the way they are now.

I would very much want to, but I probably would not. I've come to realise, if I was to take this cure... it would alleviate the potential suffering of my parents, but it would not alleviate my suffering. It would be an easier route... but like I said... it would not save me in anyway, I would be shamed not by others, but by myself as a coward and I would live hating myself more than I already am till the very last minute of my sorry existence.

So conclusion... I wouldn't, mostly because of my own selfish reasons and guilt.

I'm content being bisexual. If they caught me when I was a kid I might've been weak enough to accept the cure. That's frightening to think about! I can see this being abused! Let's work on acceptance! Homosexuality, bisexuality, etc, consenting adults, what the hell is the problem!?

What a colossal waste of time! The inventor should be shot! My first thought was the reference "I will find you, and I will kill you!" xD If they discovered it by accident, okay, that's not their fault. They should be working on a cure for pedophilia! I don't say this simply to deflect. I say this because it's a dangerous attraction that HARMS.

Take it? Hell, I'd give my left arm and right kidney for it. Throw in ten years of manual slave labor too if it'd clear up my gender confusion.

I'm happy for all who have happily accepted it, but, alas, I'm not there yet.
