As a transman who was once a lesbian, disagree with the majority of this

Are you guys referring to cisgender men or transmen too? (Post-op/pre-op/non-op, doesn't matter. Anywhere under the umbrella, too.) I do the majority if not almost all (I'm non-op) of the things listed here. But it may be because I am in a lesbian relationship (going moreso straight).

I'm talking about cisgender men and what I've seen growing up and hear a lot of straight women complain about .

    Double wardrobe!!

That's a pretty damn good one, at least if you're lucky enough to have the same (or close to the same) size.

And as some people have pointed out already, some answers are really based on stereotypes. Girls, you have to remember that all guys are not the same!

I'm not denying that women are awesome....
but men are always forced to hide how they really are or really feel for the sake of masculinity. My boyfriend and I aren't that way, so we hypothesise that we're happier.

I am just glad I can say to her that I am crying cause I am hormonal and I get chocolate and sympathy. Of course, my son being raised in an all female household is also that way.

Very true. I tried to post some that weren't too stereotype-dependent. Three outta four ain't bad. :icon_redf

I wasn't saying that all men don't understand feelings. I was only saying that women tend to understand period related moodiness the best because they go through it too (well, not all women get moody during that time of the month, but many do). For example if I get mad at my best friend (which doesn't happen often), she immediately knows I'm on my cycle and forgives me

Plus, some women are like what we assume guys to be in this thread haha I wear men's clothing so if my girlfriend wanted to share clothes with me I don't think it would be any different than with a boyfriend (I actually share clothes with my brother). I don't like shopping or girly things, and I'd only compliment a woman's outfit if it was honest, otherwise I'd probably be blunt (Just my personality).

I've known a lot of women with bad hygiene too : P In some cases you can smell their genitals from a mile away. And one girl I used to know would always clog up her bathtub in body hair.

When I was thinking of double wardrobe I based it on the fact that I'm quite feminine and I'm attracted to other feminine girls. I get that it wouldn't work out for everyone.

Understandable. I'm not necessarily butch, just more tomboyish. Most of my clothing are typical T-shirts with my favorite fandoms and bands on them.

However back to the topic, I think the best benefits about being lesbian are:
    1. No pregnancy
    2. Less likely to have gender roles (I know it may still happen depending on the couple, but straight couples seem to have more pressure under heteronormative rules)
    3. Less chance of STD's (I know It's still possible)
