I am due for an upgrade in December, but I'm not sure what phone I want. The Sony Xperia Z isn't very good apparently.

    Far too many!
    Since 2006 I've had:
Nokia 3310 (Despite all the memes, my friend broke it...)
    Nokia 2310
    Nokia 3220
    Nokia 5300
Nokia 5310 (My favourite of the Nokias, I actually cried a little when it died)
Nokia 5300 (A different one, the first one fell apart)
    Nokia 6300 (shudder)
Nokia X6 (surprisingly good. It survived falling down a flight of concrete stairs at school!)
    HTC Sensation
    Sony Xperia T
    HTC One S

I'd be lost without an android phone nowadays, but out of all my old nokias, the 5310 holds a special place in my heart and is definitely my favourite! (Might be something to do with it taking a standard 3.5mm headphone jack and not those stupid mini-jacks!)

One for the past five years... and it was used when I got it. The battery dies stupid fast but it's indestructible. It's been left in puddles and run over by trucks and keeps going without a scratch.

A smartphone would be awesome, but... I'd probably break it within a week.

I've only had two..... both LG. One was a little flip phone that was nice because it was tiny so I could carry it anywhere and it was basically bulletproof and the battery lasted forever and then some and it charged super fast. The only reason I got rid of it was that the keyboard was really really hard on my hands so although I really don't use my phone much, it was hard to send any texts because of that. So now I have an LG smartphone of some sort that has a nicer keyboard and I hardly use it so I really don't have a need to replace it just for the heck of it.

Let's see.... I got one of those tiny, basic cell phones when I was 19. That was my first cell phone. Then my uncle bought me an Pantec Matrix for Christmas. Several months later, I traded it to a coworker for his LG Neon. Then I bought my Samsung phone with a slide-our keyboard, and I've had it for about 4 years. It's refurbished, and I haven't had any problems with it the entire time I've had it.

Except that I keep losing it because it's small and black, and I have a terrible memory for where I put things.

I got my first mobile phone, my mom's old one, when I was probably 6 or 7 because we didn't have a housephone. It was a Nokia 3310.

After that I got my brother's old Nokia 3510, which I'll refer to as Nokia X
After that a new Nokia 3200 which was stolen,
which led me back to Nokia X.
And then I got yet again - a new Nokia 6234 which buttons broke in 2 years of use so..
    back to Nokia X
Then I got another old Nokia E61 from my brother and after that I got a samsung galaxy S from my brother's girlfriend.

So I've had 2 new phones but mostly I've used hand me downs from my family. So in total I've had 6 different mobile phones.

    // oh shit I've had 3 new phones. I didn't remember I had this one http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/c/ca/Nokia_5300_1.jpg

I got my first phone when I was about 12 (so 2005-06 ish), and it was a pay as you go phone. I had that, then a Nokia flip phone (which died from drowning when I was on vacation in South Florida and I forgot it was in my bathing suit pocket...and went into the ocean, oops). Then I got a LG ENV 3 from Nokia, which I had for 2 more years, and then destroyed THAT via washing machine, pants pocket) and got a replacement one (exact same one) that I have currently.

So in all..four phones. Three different models.

Two phones, both Nokia. But the last one is a smartphone.

I'm still on my first (got it in Jan 2013). Saving up for a new (well, second-hand, as I rarely buy "new" things) one, as I'm sick and tired of the one I have. I didn't pick it very well and it is really a lemon of a phone (HTC OneV). Can't wait until I have enough to get myself something decent, for a change.
