Yeah, well, we still live in a world where most cis folk see trans men and women as their assigned sex, and think non-binary people are simply attention-seeking snowflakes. If people don't want to change, they won't.[/QUOTE]

I wouldn't have been as mad if they not just written an article about pronoun usage in media, and how they are careful about pronouns. :bang:

Really though, they write this, and then there's this piece of shit.. It this kind of stuff that makes my blood boil sometimes..

I know right? It's totally ridiculous. I feel bad for the person that the article was profiling.

It must be a bad thing that I am far more curious then outraged. Not that I'm not outraged, I am just so curious about what ethical reasons they could have and how they would explain them.

You can still refer to me as the cat

I'm curious as well, but at the same time, looking at it from a journalistic perspective, that person volunteered their time, and put themselves out there. only to have a line like that included at the end of their profile. I'm more frustrated than anything I guess.

I have mixed feelings about missing class, but I guess I can't help it today - I'm not feeling well :icon_wink

Just randomly hit me, but at one point this evening at group we were looking over a chart that had all sorts of different examples of volunteering activities in different columns. For one of them, I somehow managed to misinterpret the phrase "Recover Chair Seats," meaning reupholstering, as 'retrieving' them....

Naturally I wondered, "What does retrieving chair seats have to do with volunteering?" Damn you, English....

Why does everything turn to shit all at once, just when you thought you had got your life sorted? Always the same :frowning2:

At this point, I'm starting to wonder if I'm just waiting for something that's never going to happen. I think I am.

So, I'm thinking of confessing to my crush [the word still doesn't seem suitable enough] this Sunday. While I'm not experiencing anxiety, I'm still very apprehensive. However, what advantage could I possibly get out of not saying anything? Honestly, I'm expecting to be turned down but still have a friendship, but am really hoping that won't be the case.

However, if he is capable of returning my feelings, I've no fucking idea how I'll react. x____x

I've heard that coming out to your crush is bad when admitting you have a crush on them, especially males because they tend to be more insecure about their sexuality, but good luck coming out.
