Hey guys! I'm Rachel and i'm new here. I just wanted to know what are people's favourite rock, metal and "emo" bands?
My top 5 would have to be:
    Blink-182
    Motion City Soundtrack
    Bring Me The Horizon
    All Time Low
    Pierce The Veil.
    What about you guys?

IDK about metal and emo music, but some rock I would hate to live without:

    Journey
    Los Lonely Boys
    Bob Seger
    Gun N' Roses
    Lynyrd Skynyrd

Different kind of rock than what you're thinking I imagine :/ but IMO they are timeless and deserve mention.

Third Eye Blind is great, not many people can write the kind of song they did and have it playing on the radio xD

I'm honestly not entirely sure what emo is, considering how often the term is use by people just to dismiss bands they don't like, but here are some of my faves from the other genres:

    Rock:
The Birthday Massacre (synth rock / gothic rock)
    Evanescence (gothic rock)
Icon for Hire (pop punk / alternative rock)
    Pelican (instrumental post-rock)

    Metal:
    Agalloch (black metal / folk)
    Kamelot (power metal)
    Nightwish (symphonic metal)
    Otep (alternative metal / metalcore)
    Within Temptation (symphonic metal)
Wolves in the Throne Room (black metal)

    2) The Rolling Stones
    3) BOC
    4)Pearl Jam
    5) U2

    Mayday Parade is considered 'Emo'?

This is kind of hard for me, cause I'm never really sure what genera a band or song fits into... I'll guess.
    Hmm, probably, in no order:
    Get Scared
    Evanescence
    The Killers
    New Politics
    Hollywood Undead
and Nirvana is one of my favorites, but idk where they fit...rock? Grunge?

The first concert I ever went to was Escape the Fate
And I saw the lead singer of Suicide Silence in one of his last concerts.
But honestly, lately I've been really into alternative music.
