If she is getting harrassed the Gardai (Irish Police) have LGBT specialist officers in every station

I am just going to say that Ireland is not Homophobic, this type of thing going on is very very rare and her parents are just evil, also its very unusual for someone to get sectioned in Ireland for self harm and suicide idealization like that.

Have you told her that one day she will be with you?? I have been suicidal (still am sometimes) and what generally shakes me out of it is when my boyfriend talks sense to me. Tell her that if she carries it out you will not be together, you mentioned you are both 17, well its literally a few months until you can both move out.

Just be positive (*hug*) People who are suicidal and clinically depressed fail to see the positives only the negatives.

I was really shocked when I read that this is happening in ireland. I live in ireland and I have never had one single person react badly to my coming out.
What your girlfriends parents are doing is child abuse. If I was you I'd call or email the hospital she's in and let her doctors know what's going on. They will be able to protect her.

 

Your parents are supportive, so i have a question: is asking them for some sort of help plausible? Could your girlfriend stay somewhere at your home until you get the money you need? Or could they lend you some money, even if just s little? Could they help you in contacting people who could help?

Think outside the box, dont discard possibilities so easily, try everything, take multiple actions if necesary. You have an obstacle ahead, if you cant jump it or move it aside, then explode it, with more dinamite than necesary, move sky and sea and mountains. And whatever you do, dont lose hope.
