The woman in this post wasn't being the slightest bit rude.
The OP even admits that she was showing fascination in what he was about to say, and he literally just shut her down.
    That's a pretty douche-y thing to do.

Also, way to generalize every Christian ever.
And just because some Christians may be rude, that doesn't justify us lash out at the ones who've done nothing wrong.

    ---------- Post added 6th Dec 2013 at 07:47 PM ----------

Nothing you describe did the lady in the post actually do in this post, therefore telling her that her religion is 'bullshit' is unnecessary and disrespectful.

His bluntness was the nasty part.

If she were being a total bigot or whatever, I'd be on the OP's side, trust me.

I agree with AmityRanch. I don't like religion, but that's no reason to piss on the missionaries. Even when they come, I always accept their literature with a smile on my face. They've made the effort to help, and the least you can do is not be a jerk to them for it. This kind of hatred casts a baleful light on the gay community, because they become the haters they're reputedly against.

A No Soliciting sign is cheap to get. I promise the missionaries will stay out of your hair after you hag one up o your door, and you won't have to get violent anymore.

I was kidding. It was like a playful shove. Which is how ":roflmao: No wonder ppl say atheists are rude" sounded to me.

Sorry, sorry, I apologise. Someone hits, I just hit back on a hair trigger. :frowning2:

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that it's hoodie that has either words/phrases/quotes or graphics that one associates with Atheism? Or perhaps it's simply a sweater with the word "Atheist" on the sweater.

I'm sorry but these people were jehovas, jehovas which are known for being kinda extreme when it comes to some things including homosexuality. That said I think being rude to them is justified. Even though being rude is terrible, nothing they do will lead to anything good that we can't achieve without religion. They might not bluntly have stated "homosexuality is wrong" but I know it'd come up eventually so i don't see the problem in shutting them up point-blank instead of waiting for them to spew their bile. I get your point though, I guess I could've done it in a kinder manner since they weren't being rude. But still....justified.

We have some Mormons that like to roam my apartment building from time to time.

They caught me walking in with a 6 pack of Molson Canadian one time.

Mormon #1: You have plans tonight?
Me: Yep going to watch the Canucks game and hang out with my good buddy John Molson

They just walk off. Guess they are Blackhawks fans.

I've had a couple of encounters since then, but nothing worth noting.

Of course if they were Ducks fans I would have let them in and talked all night (after the game of course) lol!!!!

    But on topic,

I am not crazy with religious members wasting time on me tryng to convert but to be honest even if they are rude as heck, I have way too much confidence and concern for my own life to be rude back. It does nothing for me to fight back.

I really believe all side of the die need to chill ALOT

IF a Christian/Muslim whatever wants to try and convert me, so be it. I just don't care. Doesn't change me at all
