I hate planes sooooooo much. Mostly because they are way up in the sky.

I wanted to be a pilot from the time I was about 5 years old. My ambitions have broadened since (dabbled with game design and I'm now going to the police academy) but I've never lost my love of flying. I still hope to get into aviation somehow.

There is no need for Red Bull here... I was born with wings! :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

At first I wanted to be a professional baseball or hockey player, but when I realized I wasn't that good at sports I switched over to wanting to be a sportscaster.

This thread made me think of this quote:

“When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life.”― John Lennon

Why's that? A plane flies when thrust exceeds drag, and lift exceeds the force of gravity. It's totally safe, and every time you get in a car, you're in a lot more danger than when you get on a plane.

When I was a kid, I wanted to be an artist (not a music artist). It was until my freshman year that I changed my mind because I began to not have a passion for art, but rather for music.

In no certain order, a veterinarian, an animal trainer, a dancer, a space ranger, an animator, a Muppeteer, and lastly a writer. The latter's always stayed with me.

My dad became a pilot when I was twelve or thirteen. He took me flying about every other weekend. I loved it! I still love being around planes and pilots.

I also wanted to be a marine biologist, to be with oceanographers. I wanted to be an astronomer. Then I wanted to be a draftsman. I settled for computer operator/student.

When I was in elementary school, I wanted to be a doctor or a teacher. In middle school I decided I wanted to be a scientist, but I couldn't decide on what kind because I like so many branches of science. I've thought about being a roboticist for NASA or NOAH, a neuroscientist, a chemist, an archaeologist, a theoretical physicist, and an astronomer. I've also thought about being an artist, a writer, and a musician. Right now I'm working on a degree on astrophysics, but I still have my doubts about whether this is really the career for me.

I don't even remember what I wanted before I discovered video games, because after that I absolutely wanted to make video games so that people could have fun with things that I made. That's what I've wanted ever since and now I'm a first year student in a Game Design program, so I guess you could say I'm on my way to living the dream! :icon_bigg

I'm going to be a psychologist. Growing up with two autistic siblings really influenced me.

When I was really young, I wanted to become a librarian, because I liked to read. Then I realized such a job would probably not even allow me to read, so I decided that law would satisfy my mad lust for power ^_^

I wanted to be a police officer, fireman, author and a surgeon throughout elementary and middle school.

Now I'm aiming to be a psychologist.

I'm 15, but I'm just throwing this out there:

When I was 5, I wanted to be a mage with a seal as my side kick that would help me fight crime, it didn't work out for obvious reasons. Dreams crushed.

When I was 6, I wanted to be a knight, but I found out that knights don't exist anymore
when I was 8. I wanted to be an artist after that, but I realized that I was terrible at art at the time.(Got tired of drawing stick figures! :dry:slight_smile:

At age 10 up until now, I wanted/want to be a soldier, chef, or a police officer!
LIFE, WHY MUST YOU MAKE ME CHOOSE?! :tears:

I wanted to be a paleontologist. I remember having to define and spell it out to my friends in first grade.
