NaNoWriMo participants/looking for Writing Buddies?

I've done NaNo three times, but never finished. I'm not participating this year, though.

 

I attempted NaNoWriMo for the first time last year but never managed to finish it before the end of the month. The idea I had for my novel was set in a post-apocalyptic frozen wasteland with the protagonist traversing the ruins of a city in which he meets a young child who rememinds him of the days before the disaster that caused this world into existence and so forth.

I'm not participating this year since I don't have much time to work on a novel, but I may write a little short story as a little side project.

 

Can't believe I missed this!
I failed last year with like 800 words total after I gave up on the second day.
This year I've been keeping up with the daily goals.
My novel deals with a haunted house.

 

I just added info to my novel. It's about an alien who comes to Earth, and then adventures will ensue. It's gonna be great. But I can't write action scenes (ironically, I love action scenes) to save my life.
