LGBT News Gulf states to introduce medical testing on travellers to 'detect' gay people

I guess they will try to improve on this piece of high-tech-technology invented by the Canadians?

The thing I do find odd about this article is that I have not met one arab/muslim who is against homosexuality. They are against homosexual intercourse, yes. But they are also against premarital sex all together. As gay Muslims can not get married, they are against it. However when I asked most of them if they *could* get married would they be okay with it then, most of them said yes. It is also against their culture to have public displays of affection, so it's not like everyone is doing it.

 

Christians will say the same thing. "Love the sinner, hate the saint", they'll say they are okay with people having same-sex attraction, but they just can never never act on them. And it's bullshit.

If they are against homosexual intercourse, then yes, they are against homosexuality. Saying that gay people should spend their whole lives along never experiencing normal human interactions of falling in love with someone and having sexual relationships...is just as offensive as saying "I hate gays".

I'm happy to see I wasn't the only one to think this upon seeing 'Gulf States'!

It's weird, I do have a morbid curiosity to visit Alabama, see Muscle Shoals, go to the civil rights sites in Birmingham, and just see what it's like firsthand. Maybe if I drive down and visit my folks in Florida, when they go for the winter.

Yet, I'm kinda scared to drive south of northern Virginia.

 

I'm not a medical expert but depending on the measures they're willing to take they could probably find ways of detecting transsexual people, if they aren't already denying entry to people that are visibly trans

 

Well I wasn't planning on visiting those countries anyway, like Stonewall said, if they do stuff like this they'll be losing a lot of trade opportunities, as LGBT rights progress, who wants to trade with a country that doesn't support equality? Do any companies want that image and reputation?

Correct me if I'm wrong, if they actually manage to somehow invent something to detect gay people... doesn't this undermine their ENTIRE BELIEF that Gay People CHOOSE to be Gay?

 

This sh*t is one of the kinds of things that gets me thinking of killing for a cause. I mean, why can't these idiots put their minds to something productive!? And why can't serial killers be usefull for once?
