Hi, I am thinking about upgrading to a new phone but iPhones are a bit too much for me...know any other great but lower budget phones?

I was thinking about the Lg Optimus F3 or F9 ... or maybe a samsung phone.

I love the Google Nexus 4 - but I think a new version of it is probably imminent. It's my primary phone these days, and I didn't think it would be.

What's your budget, are you going on prepaid or a plan?

The new Nexus is coming out supposedly on the 14th (this month). It will probably cost about $300 (unlocked, no contracts) and it will be in most things as powerful as and in some better than iPhone 5s. If I lived in the USA, I really wouldn't consider anything else (well, possibly only because of the size; these phones are getting ridiculous).

  5. Nexus 4 or the Samsung Galaxy S4. They are rather large, but they're pretty good.

I'd buy the Google edition Galaxy S4 but it's like $600 so I'm just gonna hang onto my iPhone 4S for a few more months until I have some more money next year...

There are many Samsung devices that are great purchases!
They have budget phones as well as the expensive, top class, Galaxy S phones.
In fact there are many Galaxy devices which are also budget.
But it all depends on your price range etc,
I'd go for Samsung because it is just brilliant! Many more features and options compared to iPhones.

Without knowing parameters for budget and whether or not you are choosing to go prepaid or on a contract makes it hard to recommend a phone.

If I were in the market for a new phone, I personally would go scoop up an iPhone 5 from someone looking to upgrade.

I just bought a used iPhone5 since so many are selling theirs on ebay and buying the 5S. Maybe try that if it's within your price range. Choose carefully though.

Depends on which carrier you have, Verizon= Droid X or Lg G2 or Samsung Galaxy 4. Or an HTC One
