Yes  a London university (don't want to give too much away) with A*AA (1% off A* in both of the A's, so might get a remark, though not necessary for university). Very excited! Congratulations to everyone.

What courses are you all taking at uni? Not the university itself because I'm not sure you're allowed to say it... but the course's general area of study?

You can say it (I've said mine a few times). Just don't say something like "Oh, I'm going to X university and living in room 287 of dorm Y, and I'll be home between 9-10am!"

I'm into my 3rd year of an undergraduate psychology major. Starting a new term in September - 3rd year abnormal psych and forensic psych.

It was tricky getting in, because I'm homeschooled. First they wanted my parents to give them a transcript of my marks, but my parents didn't follow a curriculum. Then they asked for a portfolio, but I hadn't really produced any tangible signs of my learning, so that didn't work. Finally, we figured out that I could just take the SAT (even though I'm Canadian) and it would count as the equivalent of a high school diploma.

I can't remember what I got on the SAT, but it was pretty high, even though I bombed the essay. (I'd been given a topic I had no opinions about.)

Don't know how the British system works, but here in America, you fill out an application for the college you want to go to, and based on your GPA and your ACT (American College Testing) or SAT (Scholastic Aptitute Test) scores, they will accept you or reject you.

I put in applications at Western Michigan University, Eastern Michigan University, and Baker College. I got accepted to all three, and am going to WMU in 11 days. Only 140 miles from home.

  18. Like Ettina, I'm also going into my 3rd year with a major in French language and a possible minor in international relations. You're all so lucky that you live in the UK, you can actually go out and have fun at 18. I'm 20 and people still treat me like I can't handle a beer. "No, that's for grownups". F*** living here seriously.
