I used to. A friend introduced to the site a long time ago, although I just recently signed up. She left a while ago though for her own reasons and we've since lost contact. I wish I did though. I love EC and the people here.
I talk to two members off of ec, I have skyped with one a few times. :3 I think of them as really good friends and like you Stefaanireturns I hope she feels better soon. I thank her mother for that thread. It helps to know what's going on.
I have a few. Used to have one guy as a pen pal, too! Miss him terribly though. Hope he's still all right. EC friends are awesome, although you should only share your contact with with people that you know very well.
I'm not certain but there may be some of my Facebook friends here. I invited someone yesterday. He works for the World Health Organization promoting AIDS awareness in healthcare.
There are a few people I'd like to meet, but some of them live in other parts of the world, so it wouldn't be easy to contact them even if it wasn't against the rules.
I'd like to, but I don't at the moment. I still like talking to people on here though! Y'all are cool!
Just to clarify: There's no EC prohibition against full members sharing contact information via PM. You just aren't allowed to do so in any of the public forums, on walls, or other places. We do encourage people to be really cautious and not to give out off-site contact info unless you feel like you know the person well. But we don't prohibit it when done via PM.
I'm in contact with one person off site, and one other who I have contact details for, but we do our talking on-site.
I kind of like that know body knows me means I can say what I want but than again it would be cool to have online lgbt friends seeing as I don't have many gayfriends in real life I should probably make more effort to add people on here first
I am friends with one EC member offsite; I mentioned this website to them and I think they joined up before I did. I have told another friend about this website, they are in the questioning phase, I am not sure where they fit but I thought they might get some use from it.
I don't think we should discuss ban reasons, whether we know them or not, unfortunately. On the topic of the thread: I currently do not/have not met with anyone on this site offline and off of the internet. It would be quite interesting, though, to say the least, whether it were to be due to chances of complete circumstance or something else entirely.
