Ah most people I say "no" to - although they're not asking seriously.
The other day a 6 year old asked me if I want a boyfriend and I said "no" - that's probably as close as I've got to saying I'm gay when directly asked!

My sisters friends mum is part of a political party and had people over (including the prime minister) when she she outed her son (and basically told her son she knows he's gay).
That's a pretty awesome way to do it.

I've been asked several times if I'm gay. I've never once said "yes." I would even go out of my way to pick and choose random girls I knew and talk about how hot they were with my male friends and cousins even though I had no interest in them.

I think if someone did ask me then I would certainly say "YES"
I have nothing to hide, everyone else knows already that I am gay so why hide ?

My sister is the only one who has asked me, and I said yes
If someone else did I would probably freak out and say "I don't know" or something

Yes, last week when my family and I went out for lunch the topic of lesbians came up and my brother accused me of being one. I denied it, and instantly felt guilty for lying, but I'm just not ready to do that yet, and I'm not sure if I ever will say it to him.

    A few times.

First one that I remember clearly was when I was 20 or 21, and my doctor asked my about my orientation during a physical. All that I could say at the time was "I'm not sexually active, so I don't see why it matters". She then repeated the question and I told her I was straight :frowning2:

Then my best friend (who I'm now out to) asked me at a bar we frequent, and I denied it again.

We were at another bar, and some random girl asked the both of us if we were gay. I just laughed and was like "of course not!"

I've made a resolve that if anyone asks me in the future, I'm not going to lie. But as with a lot of people in this thread, no one has asked.

Yes. I was at a marching band event, and there was a very tall, slender black guy who was part of the flags. My "friend" said he was so gay, and I said "so what? Does that bother you?" and he said "oh, sorry, are you gay? I didn't know" (that wasnt sarcastic) Well the whole band was there, and i was only out to like 3 people at the time, so i said no. Later when I came out, he said he was mad at me. Not because I was gay, but because I lied about it. I was kind of just like... screw you, i can bet a majority of gay people lie to protect their identities before they are out. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes: It was interesting to say the least.

Since ive come out, no one has asked me to my face, but ill say yes if they do ^_^

There haven't been as many times of people asking me if I was gay and I said no as much as there were perfect situations for me to come out and say I was bisexual but never mustered up the nerve to do so. Last time I actually said yes to someone asking me if I was gay/bi was when I told my Mom and my sister came up to us and assumed what I had said and asked. Which I confirmed.

Most of the time if people ask me if I'm gay I said yes.

However, my grandfather on my dad's side is relatively homophobic. He was trying to talk to me about boys. He asked if I had a boyfriend and I said no. He then started probing and asked if I was gay. I lied and said no.

I'm not ready to get into this with him just yet, as I'm not sure how he will handle it. I am currently financially depended on him for help with my college tuition.

My dad asked me at least 2 or 3 times before I told him. My mom asked once.

A time where I said yes, when my mum asked me the first time, a time I say no every time since then as I found out she is a homophobic bigot that would rather kick her son out than have a gay one and that anyone can change, so my non-social life is a lie

Also i say no to anyone at school unless we are alone and i am close with that person then i might say yes ^_^ ^-^

This. My mum asked me at least three times growing up if I was gay and I always said no. Later, when I came out to her, she asked me why I lied those previous times and I had to point out that I hadn't. I still don't think she gets it. Actually I expect she thinks I will eventually come out as gay and coming out as Bi was getting my foot in the door, so to speak.

Another story about the pansexual bigendered friend:

We were discussing "her" "boyfriend" (who was also bigender), and how he had recently come out as gay. Since I still had yet to figure out my sexual orientation, I said "I'm not gay. I've tried watching gay porn and nothing had come" Little did I know it would be weeks til I found out otherwise (pornhub doesn't really catch me, still. Some of it's a bit exaggerated. Then again, I enjoy porn in a much different way than most people do).

    A FEW WEEKS LATER:

I came out to the same friend, who I pretty much knew would be supportive, since she had pride stuff pretty much everywhere she went XD

I pretty much denied it for quite a while until recently and I just switch the topic if something does come up. I'm not actively denying it now as I was a few months ago however I'm not pressing the issue actively.

I have come out to some friends who I know don't have an issue with it but that is about the limit of it.

There was a time a few years ago when I was about 16 as a sophomore in HS where I admitted to being Bi to some girls who I'm pretty sure were at least bi; I was willing to bridge that gap then but I wasn't quite sure If I was fully "Gay" or not.

    That changed shortly after .

So I kind of used bisexuality as a spring board, but I don't see anything wrong with that as long as people realize that that's not all that it is.

My mom asked me if I was gay once. I said no without thinking, would have been a good time to explain things.

I've been asked that a few times and I've always said no. I'm not ready to come out yet but I'm planning to come out when I go to college.

After being asked by the same person three times, I finally gave in and confessed. No one else has ever asked me to my face.
