This is why people think we all molest children. Ugh, why must people behave in such ways? Can't we just all follow all the laws? It isn't rocket science..

 

Well this isn't going to help stereotypes at all. Fan-bloody-tastic.

 

Exactly my sentiment when I heard it on the radio. Now the people against gay marriage are going to hold this up as their 'proof'.

 

I hate that the entire community is going to be smeared by this story. I mean, it shouldn't be shocking that yes - there are some gay people out there who abuse their children, duh.

However, there are also many more straight people out there who abuse their children. No one is going to run around and say that children should be kept from their biological fathers because some fathers raped their daughters. Yet, this is exactly how this story is going to be used against us.

I hope these bastards are buried under the fucking prison. Not just for their actions against their child, but for the damage they've done to the entire community. There may be other children out there who may NEVER get a loving family because someone is going to read this story and deny them the right to adopt. There may be a gay man out there who loses his job as a teacher because a parent reads this story and has "concerns", which in turn puts him before a bigoted school administration and school board who terminate him. Their actions have consequences far beyond their family.

 

I find it tragic that people don't seem to understand the difference between an anecdote and data. Or at least, they hope the person they're arguing with doesn't understand it.

 

Child molesters are everywhere and they aren't of any specific gender or sexuality. Majority of child molesting cases out there are heterosexual related so this story is an irrelevant case study to bring up in regards to LGBT rights to marriage and adoption.

 

That's really sad

 

It's sad because stories like this will just give ammo to the bigots who say we're after kids -_-

Most child molesters are heterosexual. The only reason this passes as news is because it's a gay couple's kid. I just hope two bad apples don't make people hate the entire bushel.

 

Oh I know. I'm just saying let's face it, the moronic religious folk will use this as stupid reasons saying why we shouldn't be allowed kids. They never look at facts.
