What I actually LISTEN to, Genre wise : J-Pop, J-Rock, Pop(all kinds, bubblegum, pop-rock, etc.), Rock, (light) Metal, Symphonic Metal, Trance, Technopop, R&B, Dark Ambience, Neoclassical, Classical, Chiptune, Electronic - French music is included as well, which fits many of these genres, esp. Dark ambience and Pop What I actually Like: Everything except Country, Heavy Metal, Screamo, Heavy Grunge music (by that i mean angst-filled lyrics as a constant factor in the genre) and most Folk music.
All kinds. I'm that person that can listen to pop punk like Green Day one minute, rap like Eminem another and death metal like Macabre the next. My palette is very wide and touches almost every corner of the musical spectrum. Even genres I don't care for all that much like hip-hop or country I find myself enjoying from time to time.
Mostly Pop-Punk like Paramore, YMAS, New Found Glory, Blink 182 etc. Also throw in some Metal and Hardcore
I like all different kinds of music. Favourite song just now... Passenger- Let her go. Such a cute song
whatever that tickles my fancy, most of it is alternative pop and rock though, classical music too. I follow Pitchfork's reviews and use it to find new releases. Their "best new music" reviews are usually good listens, though I don't often agree with them. Visualised (don't worry, should be no links to offsite accounts):
I don't really dislike any genre, but I find myself more inclined to listen to grunge, metal, punk/dark cabaret, and solo piano. More recently I have been obsessing over electroswing and acid jazz. o_ o
Gothic Metal, Folk Metal, Symphonic Metal, Melodic Death Metal, Aggrotech, industrial, electro-punk, Psychobilly, Classical, Opera, Pagan Folk
This is difficult. I like Punk... The Police, The Clash, but also Sting's later, more calm songs. I love Funk, Blues, Latin, Jazz. Music is a great thing, but I can't stand thrash metal.
Tech funk, trance, progressive trance, classic trance, vocal trance, breaks, Florida breaks, progressive breaks, progressive house, deep house, funky house, tech house, drum n bass, goa-psy trance and classical are the primary genres for me with the occasional classic rock and 80's pop.
Pop-Punk, Punk-rock, alternative, a bit of screamo and whatever BOTDF is! I also LOVE the old Disney songs and as a rule, generally hate anything that comes out of the X-factor.
