    ain't love grand?? :icon_bigg

who'd have thought that at 54 you could still get that pit-a-pat heart feeling over someone and that he'd feel the same... going slow but very hopeful and man is it great! (!)

I so know what you mean EddyG!

Early days are magical...and at our age I hope we've learned a few important things about relationships!

Yes I do think we've learned some things, I feel like I'm going into this eyes wide open, carefully, as does he (he's my age). But man it does feel great doesn't it!! (!)

Thanks Lewis. And don't worry, one day, sooner than you think, love won't suck any more.

Yay! I fell deeply in love 2 years ago while leaving my then husband and I'm still as in love as then. Those "early days" feelings can hang around if you cultivate them. I think we're all supposed to have that. We all deserve it. I think it's our reward for perseverance and being true to ourselves. It's only when we're honest about who we are that we even have the chance to find that.

    Keep on lovin'!

I feel that pitter patter myself. Unfortunately, I'm living the straight life, and the feeling isn't with my husband. I'm very depressed about my feelings, but wonder if I'll ever live true to myself.

Thanks! When I first came out I was really sure there's no way I'd find anyone at this age, so I wasn't even looking. But then it just happened...

This is so true! We fell in love at first sight three days after Thanksgiving 2008 and our love is growing stronger by the day. It does take work, communication, and goals to acheve as a couple. I have found long range, moderate, and short term goals give a couple to work together toward and overcome and the results are you get closer. Anyway my heart is still going pitty patt stronger than ever, way beyond any point from my past loves. So enjoy the rest of your life! June
