My God, I love it! I found a version featuring Mary something... don't know if that's the one you meant, but that one is awesome! ---------- Post added 18th Apr 2013 at 02:06 PM ---------- Thanks! We don't have Netflix available here, but I'm sure I can find somewhere online.
Well, it doesn't get much gayer than lesbian singer-songwriters with folk influences. This one's about having a crush on someone and not wanting anyone to find out. Also, check out the drummer. </3
No one has posted Soccer Practice yet?? Any song by this Johnny McGovern is a gay song...some are just a little more inappropriate. Edit*: It actually might not be appropriate as it is. xD So go youtube it yourself if you're curious.
I'm surprised no one mentioned this one yet... it also happens to be the only song I'm familiar with insofar as dealing with LGBT identity.
Didn't know Brandi Carlile was gay.. she has that really cool song with 'alone is the last place I wanted to be'. I love folk music, I'll have to check out what else she's done.
Yes - Mary Lambert - that is the original version. I also love the clip of them preforming it live on the Ellen show. They have become one of my favorite groups - mostly because of this song. And I still get goosebumps when I hear it. My kids love the song to - an know all the words.
Omg. SO GAY. She's pretty open about it: "Brandi is a lesbian. That helped us a lot at Western. Our female following is pretty substantial." Here's one for bisexuals! And this one's not specifically gay but I think it fits:
I like "I Feel Wrong" (Homosexuality Part 1) and "Stronger than Dirt" by Glasvegas. First one's a little sad. But, second one's better. Obviously.
