I'm into all sorts of anime. Lately my eye has been caught by mystery and horror, though. >.>
Not to say you can't suggest anything other than that!

    I have watched..
    Naruto.
Naruto Shippuden. (I'm well aware it's not finished. xD)
Dragon Ball Z. (And all of it's other series).
    Another.
    Death Note.
Kuroshitsuji. (AKA Black Butler, I have watched season two as well).
    Mirai Nikki.
    Sword Art Online.
    Higurashi. (All the series).
    Junjou Romantica. (All).
    Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi.
    Clannad. (All).
    Corpse Part: Missing Footage.
    High School Of The Dead.
    Elfen Lied.
    No.6

-You know what? I'll just stop before the list gets too long.

There are some anime I didn't watch because it didn't really catch my eye on the fist episode. Like Blue Exorcist and Beserk. *shrugs*

    ;u;

You're welcome to suggest away? xD

I don't know if you're into sci-fi, but you could try Darker Than Black, it's fairly easy to watch and well-balanced when it comes to action and depth. There's also the absolutely amazing und criminally underrated Dennou Coil. It's good for all ages, though, so you won't see any violence. I've heard similar opinions about Noein, but I've yet to see it, so I can't really say anything.

Apart from that, there are amazing series like Serial Experiments: Lain, Paranoia Agent or Ergo Proxy that require putting much more thought into the watching process.

Oh, I totally forgot! Try Aoi Hana and Hourou Musuko.

They're both based on the works of the same mangaka, who just has to be one of the most sensitive and kind people in the industry. Her works are really beautiful and gentle and the anime capture that. Hourou Musuko is about transgender kids, while Aoi Hana is about two girls falling in love. Check it out!

If not already watched, watch it ASAP - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood

    Soul Eater
Occult Academy (an odd pick of mine)

You haven't watched Puella Magi Madoka Magica?

I'm surprised, considering you watched Elfen Lied, Another, Mirai Nikki, and Higurashi.

It's pretty much a magical girl anime that goes terribly wrong. It's regarded as one of the highest rated anime since evangelion.

I'd recommend many of Leiji Matsumoto's works, especially the older ones. They tend to be rather melancholy though.

Shin Sekai Yori. One of my favorites, and the art is super pretty too. Episode eight completely threw me off, and a lot of people stopped watching it for that, but it's really good. Highly recommended, although it's still airing.

NOW DON'T KILL ME: Guilty Crown. *dodges bullets* I thought it was a really good anime, finished it within a day or two. Wherever the hate comes from...I'll never know since I didn't watch it to criticize.

I second Darker Than Black. It's really good and I had a great time watching it...although the second season is pretty...garbage.. :/

Holy crap, no one suggested Code Geass? Someone probably mention it but I'm way too lazy to re-read them.

I've heard Soul Eater and Black Butler are pretty good, although I haven't read/seen them before.

The only ones I've read is Free Collars Kingdom: it was very interesting, but it got discontinued or the company that published it got shut down....something like that. I was only able to read two of them.

you want to watch a pretty messed-up anime? watch "gantz" lol.

one of my favorites is "read or die," also known as "R.O.D. the TV."

meduka magica... save me meduka. madoka magica is pretty good, though. really good.
Also throwing in Evangelion and Gurren Lagann. Evangelion is really, really good.
obligatory k-on recommendation because i'm a biased prick.

Hah! Gantz is weird. Nothing will beat Boku no Pico in weirdness, though (by the way, don't search that up, you won't like it, unless you're into kindergarteners, of course)! But seriously,

Yuru Yuri (Not what it sounds like, give it a chance)
Zetsuen no Tempest: Civilization Blaster (GENIUS plotline)
Fate/Zero (One of my personal faves - an action anime, you seem to like those)
    Kotoura-San (Cute, funny anime)
Kokoro Connect (Slightly romancy, but really good)
Otome wa Boku ni Koishiteru (that one's weird as fuck - the grandad is a massive troll)
Kono Naka ni Hitori, Imouto ga Iru (Funny)

    Hope you enjoy them! :icon_bigg

Claymore's horror and gore quotients are pretty high. It's a fantasy series set in a place that resembles some European country in the Middle Ages, and it involves murderous creatures and strong female leads whose job it is to destroy said creatures.

Others I have watched and liked:

Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex (a post-cyberpunk science fiction series set in a Japan of the near future, and my personal favorite)
Seirei no Moribito (a fantastic adventure fantasy set in historical analogue of East Asia)
Cowboy Bebop (a sci-fi series set mostly in the solar system in the distant future; renowned for its soundtrack)
Ergo Proxy (a cyberpunk series set in a very bleak dystopian future)
Durarara! (an action-packed contemporary fantasy set in modern Tokyo)
Paradise Kiss (a josei series involving angsty teenagers and fashion design)
Aoi Hana (a slice-of-life series featuring a lesbian high school girl and her best friend)
Puella Magi Madoka Magica (a seemingly average magic girl series that has a massive plot twist that makes it into an epic)
FLCL (a sci-fi series with lots of absurd elements and a good soundtrack)
Azumanga Daioh (a hilarious and often absurd slice-of-life series about schoolgirls)
Fullmetal Alchemist (an acclaimed fantasy series; I've also heard good things about Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, which is more faithful to the manga)
Witch Hunter Robin (a sci-fi/fantasy series with a heavy emphasis on the occult)

Oh my, there are still a lot! But I forgot ittt

I can't not mention Puella Magi Madoka Magica, even though it's already been mentioned several times. I was my first anime, but it's still the best I've seen.

Other recommendations that you might not have heard of:

    Sora no Woto -- slice-of-life comedy/drama set in a post-apocalyptic future
El Cazador de la Bruja -- Western adventure with a touch of magical realism
Shigofumi -- Not the greatest series in existence, but an interesting take on death, life, abuse, and mental illness
Princess Tutu -- magical girl series with ballet that turns into a deconstruction of itself in the second half
Haibane Renmei -- vaguely slice-of-life drama that deals with issues of loneliness, depression, and friendship
