Arcade Fire's Funeral has been a pretty big one for me lately. While i generally listen to individual songs over full albums (bad habit I've been trying to get out of lately D=) a few more important ones off the top of my head would be Radiohead - In Rainbows, AFI - Crash Love, Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory, Foster The People - Torches, of Montreal - Hissing Fauna Are You The Destroyer? and Gorillaz - Demon Days

The Smiths are a personal favorite band of mine as well. <3 the only reason I didn't list one of their albums is because I love too many songs spanning throughout all their stuff to pick one. Definitely feel ya on their lyrics easily relating to LGBT life, it's a big reason I like them so much too. "Last Night I dreamt Somebody Loved Me" was one of the songs I listened to most when I went through a bit of a depressed phase of crushing on a guy I had no chance with. I felt like the exact thoughts and feelings going through my head were being were being articulated and described more perfectly than I ever would be able to myself. For me that's the magic of Morrisey~ I think i'll go put my all time favorite quote of his in my sig right now actually =o I've had my current one long enough.

I just have to say that you have some damn fine taste in music. Most of these albums I would also say have influenced me. Along with:

*Queen - A Night at the Opera
    *Elton John - Greatest Hits
    *Mike Oldfield - Tubular Bells
    *Mike Oldfield - Ommadawn

I was born way too late.

    Thank you very much!

I blame my parents for raising me with such good tunes, but I do love 80's British Rock and 80's music in general.

Also, Marina Diamandis is a Goddess.

All of her songs have translated to me in one way or another. I love her so much.

    Love the new sig :icon_bigg

Yes I know exactly what you mean, he puts it better than I ever could.

If I was picking a Morrissey sig it would be:
A lot of Morrissey's lyrics are pretty ambiguous but this lyric is definitely about him being gay/asexual.

  9. I am currently in a state of perpetual bliss after discovering the secret to being happy. This is the result of years of counselling and Bon Iver - For Emma. Also, Bon Iver, Bon Iver and Rumer's old album.

Option Paralysis by The Dillinger Escape Plan. <3
If you listen to... lets say.... Good Neighbor and then Widower, you'll see the musical differences they have. It's a very touching album to me although not many can stand it. Haha.

Embarrassingly, it's a Jpop album: Vivid by Crystal Kay. Just because it was my happy place during a relatively sad summer.

I love this! Parasitic Twins is such a fun track, and yes, there's plenty of variety. Its follow-up is coming soon, should be good!

The Antlers' 'Burst Apart' is my sad album of choice at the moment but I can't think of any that have hugely changed me.
