    • I like Lady Gaga, Rihanna, Lana Del Rey, Cher, et al.
    • I love to cook and throw fabulous dinner parties.
    • I use the word "fabulous."
    • I love to sew.
    • DVR is set to record RuPaul's Drag Race and Project Runway.
    • Can't be bothered with sports of any kind.
    • When it comes to film, I'm a sucker for a costume drama.
    • I keep a meticulously clean home.
    • Most of my close friends are straight women.
    • Love cats. Can't stand dogs.

Now here's my list of things in which I don't fit the stereotype:
    • I like country music. The twangier the better!
    • I like good old comfort food just as much as gourmet dining and I will stand over the sink and eat right out of the pot.
    • I curse. A lot.
    • DVR is set to record Major Crimes and The Walking Dead.
    • I love carpentry and power tools.
    • When it comes to film, I love a good shoot-em-up action film with lots of car chases and explosions.
    • I love to hang out with guys and drink beer.
    • I have no fashion sense whatsoever. Most days I'm in jeans, sneakers and a T-shirt.
    • I only own 5 pairs of shoes; sneakers, sandals, black dress, brown dress, flip flops.
    • I drive a big old rusty pickup truck.

This was a fun little exercise in self-examination!

I love cats with a passion. That's about the only stereotype I fit into.

How I fit into the stereotype:
I melt whenever the issue of love comes up in a conversation.
I'm not particularly good at any sport though I'm okay at swimming.
I'm a lot more articulate than my peers.
I'm more into music and arts.
My only close friend is a girl.
I listen to 'One Direction' (guilty)
I love musicals and have acted out some main role in school productions since ever.
I feel perfectly comfortable cross-dressing when the occasion comes; school plays.
Girls can approach me easily, boys do as well for. 'relationship help'.
I can dance to the Bad Romance (SO GUILTY, I did this in front of school)
I have difficulty understanding why others guys find it difficult to talk to girls.

    Funny thread idea:
    - Neat and organized, in a minimalistic manner
    - Articulate and cultured, more so than the average guy at any point in my life (Isn't it sad that this is a stereotype, but it's ok for political and business leaders? It must be about subtle differences in how it's pulled off)
    - Don't read the sports page in the paper or on my homepage

I like dick and I'm a guy. Guess that makes me a stereotypical gay guy.

I'm a very, very dominant person. Got called "butch" a lot in school.
For a lot of stupid people that fits the stereotype

I've never worn make up and don't plan to.
Apparently my glasses look like "lesbian glasses". :b

I like musicals. I always have to sneak them into my Netflix que and then act like I had nothing to do with it.

That's all I can think of.

Technically a sterotype person is someone being judged for something because the majority do it or act a certain way. Kind of hard to explain what I mean but I personally think someone is not a sterotype if you are just being your true self regardless if it ticks the boxes of one that people perceive.

I really had to think about this, I'm not really aware of stereotypes beyond the really obvious ones. Dunno if these are actual "stereotypes" or not but (I'm going more by lesbian stereotypes).

    - I dress androgynous/masculine. To be honest I loathe what's generally considered "women's clothing" and I think most of it is made of suck. I will make exceptions though.
    - I really like button down shirts and ties; I don't like dresses and skirts.
    - I don't wear make up (Unless it's for Halloween/Costumes).
    - I like cats. Seriously, who doesn't??
    - People legitimately have mistook me for a guy.
    - I have a deep voice for a girl.
    - I'm artsy. Does that really count?
    - I relate more to my guy friends/male characters in media/etc.
    - Short nails.
    - I gesticulate a lot.
    - I act more "gentlemanly" towards other ladies, like I'll help carry their things, open doors for them, etc.
    - Apparently there's a "gay hand tuck"? I do that all the time.
    - I guess I'm a feminist?

    Stereotypes I don't fit:
    - I'm not really into sports, save hockey. Though I'm big on martial arts.
    - My ratio of female:male friends is about the same, give or take.
    - I don't have a super-short haircut (it's a little above shoulder length at this point).
    - I don't hate men, I love spending time with my guy friends but it can get a bit overbearing at some points.
    - I have some really girly moments regarding any type of creepy crawlies. My ex had to squish a giant silver fish because I freaked out like a baby and refused to move from my safe chair.
    - I can be really emotional. But you didn't hear it from me.

My only stereotypes are that I love cooking and songs with female vocalists ._.

Edit: I'm also not a big fan of sports.

Well, I guess that in extreme situations like that, wait for it... anything goes.

    That was an awful joke.

Uhh, I can't think of any real stereotypes I conform to... Yay, I guess?

Cannot get enough of The Breakfast Club and Rocky Horror.
Absolutely no problem with my friend painting my nails every now and again.
May have been involved in a couple of 'girly chats'.

On the other hand, there's the cynicism, sarcasm, general geekiness, the fact I only own about two pair of shoes and usually only buy new clothes when my older ones start to, er, disintegrate. Oh, and the fact I'm not in shape at all. So I'm a mix. Awesome.

Yeah, I love plays and musicals.

However I also like sports and fishing and guns.

I like musicals and chick flicks. I like cars, but not the whole revving engine thing--I'm more into the styling, and go nuts over anything from the late 1950's with fins and shiny chrome and pretty colors. Since I came out to myself, I find I have to be cautious or else I both sound and walk a whole lot more like a gay guy than I used to. (It actually makes me laugh at myself sometimes.) But the clincher is...NO. SPORTS. OF. ANY. KIND. I have been known to make cookies during Packer games, and in Wisconsin, that's the kind of thing that could get you tarred, feathered and spray-painted pink.

I was in choir from Grade 7 to Grade 12 (this may not be a stereotype but I always heard it to be one.)
    I'm into chick flicks.
Talk with my hands a lot.
I love love love to shop
I'm obsessed with how I look to other people but can always find one thing I can work on.

I Wear guys clothes; mostly button down shirts with either a tie or bow tie, vests and blazers.
I'm tall and have been told that I walk in a masculine manner.
I have a deep, husky, voice, large hands and feet.
I act like a gentleman when around girls.
I'm clueless with cooking and housework, but give me some lumber, power tools and i'll build just about anything.
If there's a snake or mouse in the house I'm the one to go get rid of it.

The main ones that don't really fit:
I cry too easily and over the strangest things.
Snakes and mice are okay but a spider will cause me to flip out.
My hair is long, although it looks kinda short because its curly.
