Facebook "likes"

I deleted my facebook about a week after I made it, because it just reminded me that I see too much of some of my peers as it is. But I have times when I want to get on and see how many people would actually have a idea and 'like' the things I would post about. I need a new social community before I even think about having a facebook again.

 

I've had at the most probably 60 likes....I could really care less about the amount.....it's that first one that counts.

 

I definitely like the feedback. Facebook is just a forum where people who loosely know each other try to show off how good their lives are, so when I get likes, there's definitely a bit of validation. At 38 likes, my most liked status was:

"Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to announce that for the first time ever, I have done the laundry without making any sock widows. #believe"

I'm pretty sure it was the ironic hashtag that did it.

 

I don't even pay attention to my likes. I post, poke someone and then log off. xD But I do get emails about them, and the most I've ever gotten was like, two. I don't have many friends so it's usually my sisters who like my statuses.

But I do get tagged a lot in one of my friend's statuses. She's like a Facebook junkie. o:

 

I pretty much only use facebook so I can like my best friend's posts (because she's hilarious) and keep track of all the idiots I go to school with. I think I've spent two hours once just flipping through schoolmate's albums just to find really obnoxious pictures and even more nauseating comments and I just laugh.

I haven't made a status in maybe 3 months? I don't know. I don't care much about likes, tbh. I don't even know why I keep it really. Besides the whole stalking around thing. Cheap entertainment.

 

Keeping in touch with friends and family, i get that.
but nothing else about Facebook.

'Likes' are fine, but I prefer people to actually comment. I mainly use facebook to keep in contact with friends and family, so it's fairly rare that I actually post stuff about myself.

 

636 photos and I found one! Fantastic.

I was absolutely hammered in it too so to look sober-ish is surprising.

 

The most Facebook likes I've received is 12, and I have 12 contacts.

I like my privacy and keeping my personal business private. Anyone outside that 12 can either hit me up in person, or text/call.

But that's just silly me.

 

I'll admit to knowing.

One was a photo of me with a friend. He had been imprisoned due to some immigration problems. I happened to get word that they were springing him at last, and I drove out there to meet him as he got out. (Due to some weird quirk, I was the only one there at the time.) I had been posting on Facebook earlier in the day about my favorite albums of the year so far, so I posted a photo of us two standing outside the ICE facility with the caption "My favorite release of 2012."

Number of likes: 147.

On National Coming Out Day, I made a mildly lengthy post stating being out was so much better and easier with supportive friends and family, and I mentioned a few by name.

Number of likes: 120.

Yes, I DID have to go back and see how many for both.
