Do you think you're bi just because of some movie?

"So you want to be a girl, Michael? It's not okay if you do. (note- she didn't understand gay vs. trans even though she has gay relatives) I couldn't handle that. Are you like that Penn State guy?" I came out to my parents in Sept. 2011 so that was big then.
Verbatim from my mom (to her credit, she's gotten a lot better.)

Good Lord, I got this same response when someone asked about being genderfluid. -_(\

"Wait, you're bi? Would you join a threesome?... No? But I thought bisexuals loved stuff like that..."

I'm not out yet, but on another website where I am practically out I've been asked if I would ever have sex with a guy / how do I know I'm a lesbian if I've never had sex with a guy. It just got really annoying because they kept coming back and also started asking questions about "how I am a female and not like dick" and "how will you be married to a man in the future, but not like him?" (AKA what she was getting at was how can a woman survive pretty much without being married to a man to provide and take care of her). I'm sure she was trolling me and I eventually started to get really mad/annoyed and blocked her.

I'd rather have dumb questions than offensive comments!

Man, those kind of comments used to make me angry...

Wait. They still do. Bisexuals seem to get a lot more unnecessary shit from people nowadays, or maybe it's just what I keep seeing from other people.

Someone I knew came out as pansexual to a group of people in an academic club and one of them pulled me and someone else aside later and asked:

"Does that mean she likes pans and pots?"

And the other ringed in "And silverware and stuff?"

They were actually serious. I was just like, really?

"Why don't you just become a girl?"

I think that's the dumbest question I have been asked. Yes I can be a bit feminine sometimes, I like to wear a little makeup if i'm going out for example, but what I see in the mirror reflects how I feel inside therefore I am not a woman.

I've had people misinterpret pansexual. They took the prefix "pan" literally, and asked if I found spoons and cow udders sexy XD

I keep seeing those comments of people (particularly parents) confusing sons coming out as gay for MtF. You'd kind of think that after this long they'd have figured out that gay guys don't transition into women.

Realized I never posted anything about when I came out as bi so here's a few!

"Did [my ex] make you not like guys?"
...No. I like guys. I just like women too.

    "So would you f*** me?"
I said I was bisexual, not a sl**.

"How can you be sure you're really bisexual?"
Well. I like men. And I like women.

"Who would you have a threesome with then?"
UH! 2 things. 1, I'm not comfortable talking to you about this. 2, I wouldn't participate in a threesome.
