My friends refuse to eve rlet me hear the end of how inferior IE is but I don't care much. It's what I've always used and probably always will use. I've just gotten too familiar with the layout over the years to switch my default to anything else. I've got FF on my computer but the only thing I really use it for is watching anime when the video decides to not load in IE for some dumb reason
I use chrome for the most part. However, I don't understand why Internet explorer gets so much hate, IE10 is quite fast!
It has really bad support for web standards. It's slowly getting better but it's still far behind everything else.
I used to use Firefox but when I got this laptop I decided to try something new, so I downloaded Chrome. Firefox was okay but I like using Chrome way more.. Maybe the novelty hasn't worn off for me yet. The only thing that annoys me about Chrome is that it crashes pretty frequently.
Hardcore Mozilla Firefox fan here. I also love Thunderbird, Mozilla's email application. I tried Chrome for awhile and kinda liked it, but I didn't find anything in it that beats Firefox. Also, unlike Google, Mozilla is a non-profit organization, so I prefer to support them.
I hav a Mac so I use Safari regularly! But on my home computer, Firefox is much faster & convenient compare to internet explorer!
Internet Explorer isn't actually that bad anymore. However, since Chrome and Firefox have also been getting slightly better, there's still a large gap.
 You just gave me a nerd boner!! Being a web developer, I am forever scarred and appalled by IE, which can make development a living hell. The latest versions have improved by leaps and bounds though. I don't like Firefox's extension an update system, feels bulky and gets in my way. Chrome's developer tools are incredible and it's fast and lightweight, I use it whenever I can. And I agree with the rest of you...ctrl+shift+n is the best thing ever.
I like it. But, on consoles, I usually use links instead. It supports frames. Am I the only one on here to use Konqueror, though?
Ah, I used to a while back, I recall it being pretty solid. Had Kubuntu on my desktop...good stuff! It work pretty well for you? What distro you running?
Very nice, I've always wanted to give Slack a try. I should fire up a virtual machine and play around . I know it's pretty customizable and can be very console based, which is cool. Have you tweaked it very much?
Google Chrome. I'm all about the Ctrl-Shift-N. Also, excellent nerd conversation. I tried Lynx out one time, and it was pretty funny. Not a huge fan of KDE though, I have to say. I'm just too used to GNOME at this point. Also, KDE is a bit much for my craptop.
Not much. After I get another project working for my dad, I might try an automate display on an old computer from their offices. I did more customization on my RH9 based IRLP node that is having some major hardware issues. I'm migrating it to a new machine. ---------- Post added 2nd Dec 2012 at 11:18 PM ---------- You can still use the KDE programs with something more lightweight, like fluxbox
