    This thread just gave me a good idea.... screenshot the desktop with a new shortcut, or the shortcuts moved, set that as the background, and delete the shortcuts :3
    It is a picture of some lake with a mountain behind it.

    I have a bit of OCD when it comes to how my desktop looks. I can have NO ICONS on the screen, and the bar at the bottom collapses when not touched.

    Then I end up changing it every week or so.

    In both Rhode Island and Massachusetts
    I organize in my four corners. Utility programs in the upper left, writing docs, writing folders and photo folders in the bottom left, games exclusively in the upper right (I have a lot, it needs its own space) and other programs in the bottom left.

    I do this both so I can cluster relevant things together (which is how my head seems to work when I forget the title of a program or something) and so I can see my background picture.
