I came out to myself and to my best friend *my soon to be ex wife* on Sept 21 2012

 

To myself when I was about 14/15. I'm only just coming out now, previously I only told a few people individually then asked them not to tell anybody else.

First came out when I was 14. I kinda felt weird about it... someone finally knew my deep dark secret.

I'm a lot better now, managed to come out to about 5 more people. It doesn't bother me any more. I'm planning to come out completely this year. (15 by the way.)

 

I came out to family and friends at 29

 

Myself at 16, though still smoothing out the kinks, thus the "75% sure" description on my profile.

Friends starting at 17 with just one, then parents and brother and two friends at school. I'm 18 now and hoping to come out to my guy friends soon.

 

I'm 16, and I came out this year.

So um, I was 16 when I came out!

 

I had just turned 17 and finished coming out to everyone before I turned 18

 

Not until this year, so 25.

Another late bloomer here. Realized I was gay in 2009 at the age of 21, and came out to the first person a year later I think...

 

To myself, around 18. I started coming out to others when I was 19. Still not done, though.

 

I actually came out to others before actually coming out to myself.

I had an internet relationship with a guy, and I told some of the friends from the community we were in. That was when I was 16 or 17. But because the whole thing was an online thing it didn't mean much to me I guess, I mean I was in love but yeah... I don't even remember when exactly it all happened. And to me it doesn't really count as a relationship or coming out.

It wasn't until I was 19 (so this year) when I had my crush on my best friend (currently my ex) that I was sure of was more than just curiosity. I came out to him by telling him I had feelings for him and that was kind of when I came out to myself as well. I just kind of had to tell someone else before it felt real, even though I was completely sure I was not just into girls.

That was 2 months ago, I came out to my parents about a month ago when I was dating my ex. I also came out to 4 friends about a week after.

I thought it would get easier telling people once you've started coming out, but it's still very hard... can't even come out to my sister which feels unfair to her since my parents know and I'm pretty sure she'll be positive about it.

tl;dr I was 19.

 

I knew for sure when I was 14 but didn't tell anyone until I was 15.

 

I came out to myself when I was 10 and out to the first person when I was 13. (Or possibly 12...)

Out to a good friend at 16 just a few months ago, I think.

I was almost in a relationship with a girl a couple years ago, but I got scared and cut ties with her.

It's all good now, though. You know, except for the part where only one person knows. Might tell my sister though. We'll see.
