I honestly don't think so, but you tell me, since it seems like we're now using ####### in this thread.

Nope. i have a deep voice and I refrain from colorful metaphors and other linguistic 'tell tale' clues as to who and what I am.

Further, I am accused of having a slight British accent, this is largely due to the fact I have an American Media Accent - the 'hidden accent' the one picked because everyone understands it.

I personally don't, my voice is kinda deep and I don't prolong the last-half of words like stereotypical gay people do.

Well I think the stereotypical gay voice is also brought out of culture, maybe...? I sincerely do not believe a gay/lesbian person would have the stereotypical voice if they grew up outside of LGBT presence. (A high voice is one thing, but the way you talk with that voice is another).

From my short 17 years of experience, I have yet to personally meet/see a gay Australian who has the stereotypically femme/butch way of speaking. Although I have noticed this a lot in America (for e.g. gay American youtubers)... so is it a culture thing?

Honestly, I can't tell if it's stereotypical. It's kinda got the inflection, but there's really nothing else about it. So it leans toward being not, I guess..?

    Doesn't sound stereotypical to me.

You do sound a lot like the guy who plays the gay son on United States of Tara though, but I don't consider his voice stereotypical either. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Lots of people use the voice stereotype at my school. Once or twice people said that I sound "gay". But it changed when I started going through puberty. However, I do say that I have a fairly high pitched voice which I am happy to have so I have a wide vocal variety when it comes to singing.

  10. I use my hands when I talk a lot as well, so maybe that gives it away a bit. Usually when I'm around other people, I have a higher voice, but otherwise it's fairly normal (not deep or high), but I'm a quiet guy anyways.

My voice? It's not really deep... Though it's not high either. You know, it's just... normal.
I kind of wish it was a tad deeper though. I find women with deep voices kind of sexy. :icon_wink

I have no clue how a bisexual woman is supposed to sound. Most people have no clue I like women. :/

I think my voice is one of the things that made people legitimately ask me in high school if I am homosexual; personally I am not sure if it sounds like a stereotypical gay guy voice or a stereotypical nerdy voice.

I don't actually know. When I talk, it sounds really vibrant, but I guess my voice is actually really low and droning.

I mean, I'm not a bass or anything, but it's low for a female.

My voice is slightly deeper than average and usualy monotone. Teachers tend to think I'm sad sometimes. I'm not sad anywhere near often! Though I'm still a fairly good singer.

Hmm, I do have a guy voice. You can't even tell that I'm a woman because of my voice. It's really deep and low. I love singing and I sing like a man as well. -_- There's no tracks of girly voice as of now..Even if I try girly voice, it sounds like a gay voice, like a man trying to sound like a woman.

no offense meant..just saying the truth. I'm happy with my voice right now..though I wasn't able to start transition yet but thank God for this beautiful blessing.

I have a high and unfortunately squeaky voice and a speech defect which causes issues with syballance and sound pretty girly - not really the lesbian stereotype!

My voice is kinda on the lower side but that could be because of how I talk which is kinda monotone like. I do know I sound like a guy on the phone though.
