It's really weird. The computer says my internal mic is well and working, but when I try recording ####### says it does not receive anything. Should I put my mouth on any specific place (no pun intended) for the recording device to "hear" me?

You should try Sound Recorder (if you're using Windows 7) and see. It's possible that the microphone is currently disabled. Even if your mouth is too far from the mic, it should still record the ambient noise, so ####### should not say that.

Nope, not particularly. It ranges a lot depending on the day on how low/high (well, moderate) pitched it goes (call it weather, illness, seriousness of topic, whatever), but it's not really feminine or flamboyant. And no lisp. I'd be annoyed with myself if I had a lisp, not because of stereotypes, but I can't stand listening to them much (no offense, of course.

Although someone told me I had a "nice voice" a while back. I wonder what that's supposed to mean...

Was that someone male or female? Hopefully it's the first group haha

Going to the other topic, BudderMC, is it possible for you to send me one of your photos? I really wanna make sure if you are also a ginger, and I don't know how to do this myself because I can't send PMs.

I have a deep voice and no lisp. While on the topic of voice stereotypes, I don't have a Texas "twang" to my voice either.

It was definitely a guy... but I only met him like a week ago, and we were with a mutual friend. Wasn't flirty or anything, and I'm pretty sure he's straight. It was just out of the blue, is all. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

And I'm no ginger, I just put that in the other thread. Sorry to get your hopes up :rolle:

I have a more masculine girlfriend and I am like a hard femme. and we both have average voices. Hers is more high though. The stereotype certainly doesn't fit with us!

I'm with SkyDiver. I love your accent. And, at least to me, though it is higher pitched than average, it's not so far up there that I'd mistake it for a female voice.

I'm sorry to say this, DNB, but you definitely sound like a girl. But, I didn't hear a deaf accent in there, though, maybe I'm just used to how strong my uncle's deaf accent is.

I think SolarCat got a hold of your profile.

OK, now for my voice. What do you think? Stereotypical aspie? Bi guy?

I used to sing Patsy Cline for my grandma. I learn to emmunlate how the voice fluctuates in her singing. So this is me singing in her way, and remmy if I'm a bit flat I am now hoh, forgive that please, and enjoy:

My voice doesn't have the lisp but it is higher on the phone....you have no idea how sick I am of being called "Ma'am" or "Miss" over the phone even after hearing my first name is Sean. I can understand if it sounded like Seana or Shanna or w/e...but how many women do you know with the name Sean? I mean they might be out there but I'm sure most of you know it does seem to be a more masculine name...so yeah it's annoying as hell. And while my Mother just says to work on deepening my voice on the phone 1. even doing that does nothing but 2. Why should I need to deepen my voice just to talk on the phone! >_>

Not really. I sing bass in choir and I don't have a lisp.
I would put up a recording but I have no idea where my microphone went D:
