I gather my friends together, go out, have a drink or two and dance (!) Which brings me to music, it's my number one method to make myself feel better. I'm actually pretty down now, so I have my earbuds in and I'm waiting on my iced coffee. I enjoy reading too or watching a movie, preferably a comedy

Meditate. Exercise. Take a walk. Call a friend.

    In no particular order.

Depends on the type of blue, but usually I just let myself be blue. I mean, I give myself a couple hours or the evening or whatever to just wallow in whatever's making me sad, so I can move past it after. I find distracting myself from it usually doesn't help much. I'd much rather face it head-on and get that part out of the way. But that's personal preference.

Other than that, I second what a lot of people have said. Meditation, going on walks, listening to music are all good. I'll see if anyone's around to do something fun, or play games by myself. Pretty much anything I can engage myself in so that I'm focused on it instead of my troubles. Any sort of creative outlet (photography for me) is a good thing too.

I usually listen to music or take a walk. Sometimes I'll look at funny websites too if for some reason I cannot go on a walk.

I'm sorry, I'm terrible at quoting people on my phone. And wow! I totally understand this...I do this whenever my friends aren't available or when my other methods do not work. My steps are to 1st - Embrace the feelings, 2nd - Figure out the underlying problem, 3rd - Find solutions to get rid of the problem, 4th - Execute the best solution to eliminate the annoying dark cloud above me. Yes, I'm strange, but it works!

Exercise, meditate, take a walk in the park, spend time with kids (they are all about the moment and don't worry about the past or future)

Number one thing would be going on a 15+ mile run. That usually does the trick. However if this fails I call my friends to hang out or write heavy metal music on guitar. Watching funny movies/tv does also help.

Long hikes in the wilderness, and taking pictures. I find this helps me put my problems into perspective without too much distraction.

I generally listen to depressing music and get depressed and angsty. Depending on how bad it is, this will last for a few hours to a day or two, if it's really really bad. Generally, just being like that for a night allows it to blow over after a little while.

I draw, or eat fruit, or crochet. Mark Twain's stories also makes me feel a tons better!

Listen to music. Or sing really loudly in the shower.

Eat ice-cream or other sugary equivalent.

Go on the exercise bike or do some sit-ups-concentrating on working out helps me forget everything else.

Owl City playlist at full volume. One hour of this and things already look brighter.
