There are also so many books people have written on Wattpad.com just type in boyxboy/manxman/girlxgirl. I can recommend TONS of LGBT writers on there.

There's some gay books I've read that are collections of multiple short stories, by various authors ' (I don't remember the publisher on these, but eBay'ing the titles should find them...)
    Fool For Love
    Best Gay Romance 2008
    Best Gay Romance 2009
    Best Gay Romance 2010
    Surfer Boys: Gay Erotic Stories
(be aware ofcoruse that they're not something to leave around where young kids might find/read..)

First gay novel I ever read was A Density Of Souls by Christopher Rice
I recently finished reading his The Snow Garden ... and would recommend both!
Just started Light Before Day , and Blind Fall is sitting on my bedroom floor, next in line to be read. He also has 3 more books out (don't have yet, but fully intend to get when I see a good deal on eBay or the local used book place)

When I was first starting to realize my sexuality I read " On Being Gay" by Brian Mcnaught. It had a lot of helpful advice on realizing and accepting your sexuality and still keeping your faith. I would definitely recommend it.

Definitely the Changers series. The first only came out last year (the second one recently came out), so we're still waiting on books three and four!

Well... The book wasn't exactly focused around LGBT+ in the way you'd thnk, but I did think it was great! It definitely had some aspects of fantasy (like the fact that Changers magically change bodies every year of high school). It had a lot to do with gender roles and conformity, and watching Ethan blossom into Drew, going from a gamer to a cheerleading, petite blonde was really special. The entire premise of the book is that personality and soul transcends gender, sexual orientation, race and everything else that's on the outside. It's kind of like David Levithan's Every Day, only better and more aimed at teens, more relatable.

    '

I second these three! Will Grayson, Will Grayson is witty and charming, as well as Boy Meets Boy. (I LOVE David Levithan.) And Openly Straight!!!! SO. GOOD. It was also super funny!

I really want to read Openly Straight (Bill Konigsburg) and Geography Club (Brent Hartinger), has anyone read them? Are they good? I requested for them to be purchased for my school campus' library (a risk, btw, Catholic school and all), so I hope the school will get them and I can read them

    Interference by Zoe Reed
Google for Ingrid Díaz. She has published a draft of her second novel (The Blind Side of Love), online, for free to read. On her website! It's seriously one of the best lesbian stories out there. It is nothing out of the ordinary, story-wise, but it's SO funny and sweet, that it warms my heart <3

This is not a book, but it's a short story, so I guess it still counts.

It's called Changes by Neil Gaiman and it's included in his book Smoke and Mirrors. Perhaps it isn't exactly a LGBT story, at least not a typical one, but it involves issues like gender roles and sex change and it's really meaningful and well-written. I strongly recommend.

Simon vs. the Homo Sapiens Agenda (gay)

    A fun, sweet, simple book.

    None of the Above (intersex)

Really opened my eyes to intersex issues.

    Openly Straight

About a boy who moves to an all boy school and decides he isn't going to come out to anyone, so he can see what it's like to be "one of the guys" without the limitations of him being gay. This leads to many complications. Very good read, I actually read it all in one night.

I found 'Pretend You Love Me by Julie Anne Peters' and 'The Miseducation of Cameron Post by Emily M Danforth' really good.

I think someone might have already suggested them but Tales from Foster High.

    Brilliant.

I wish I'd had them as a teenager.

My book club has decided to read "Openly Straight" as our next book. I haven't read it yet, but I heard it's really good. I'll let you know after I read it.

The best boy ever made- By Rachel Eliason.

Transgender romance story that takes place in the country, where people are conservative and religious. Very good.

I did a search for german books. I don't know any of them, nor do I speak German, but these are a few that came up.

Nach der Holli links- By Raik Thorstad

Sam Dorseys verflixer Geburtstag- By Perie Wolford

Jenseits dur Eisenberge- By Sandra Gernt

I don't know if this helps; I just searched it.
