She did! I think I might even prefer Tell Me Again How A Crush Should Feel to If You Could Be Mine, but only by a slight margin. Sara Farizan is one of my favorite queer YA writers at the moment, along with Robin Talley, author of Lies We Tell Ourselves.

I've read Proxy and Guardian. Both are good books. They're not overtly LGBT books, but they're pretty good nonetheless.

Hmm. I'm new here and still learning. I can't think up anything yet, except maybe asking someone from the staff for advide, but I'm a bit scared to. Do you have any ideas?

Currently reading it and currently loving it. Thanks for the suggestion!

My English class introduced me to these two good, and very emotional books. By this I mean you will definitely feel for these characters.

    1) Cereus Blooms at Night by Shani Mootoo

Not focusing on LGBTQ necessarily but an overlaying theme is identity and the struggles about going against the social norm. For example one of the main characters is Tyler who was born male but enjoys putting on make up and wearing dresses which does not sit well with his fellow nurses.

    2) Giovanni's Room by James Baldwin

All about a north american man coming to terms with his sexuality in Paris France.

Hopefully I haven't repeated anybodies suggestions.

In One Person by John Irving!

Not a flawless book by any means but highly relatable and entertaining and a must read IMO. Couldn't put it down and I am now going to read everything by John Irving.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this one before but "Annie on my Mind" is my all time favorite lesbian young adult romance novel. "Boyfriends With Girlfriends" is also a really great read. And anything by the certified genius Alison Bechdel. She does comics. "Dykes to Watch Out For" is the best thing ever. And her memoirs "Fun Home" and "Are You My Mother?"

Two Boy's Kissing, Boys Meets Boy, Every Day since the character is essentially genderless. All three books are by David Levithan, he's written a few more books with LGBT characters. And I'm going to read Will Grayson Will Grayson since I love both John Green and David Levithan.
