Yes, GLONASS support will be a requirement on my next phone. It can take a while to get a lock at higher latitudes using GPS alone. GLONASS support should become more common as the dual support chips are be coming cheaper.

Hopefully by the time my next contract renewal window comes up (April 2014 - yikes!) Galileo will be live and tri support chips will be in my new phone. I swear the people down on the American west coast designing and testing all these smart phones forget to test them in such high latitudes (I'm as far north as Edmonton in Canada). At least Sony Ericsson seam to be relativity good on the GPS front (but then they are based even further north!).

Yeah when I was in Vancouver last year, it could take as long as 10 minutes for my phone to get a GPS lock.

Yes it will be nice when Galileo is up and running. The more Birds the better.

Wait until September or so and get an iPhone "5" (or "the new iPhone", or iPhone (mid-2012) or whatever they call it this time.) It really is that much better than anything else... or more polished.

I recently got the iPhone 4s I like it a lot so far  but have nothing else to compare it to. lol. My old phone was a call/txt phone only really... I only dislike how fast the battery goes! ugg! My old phone lasted like a week and I txted a lot!

So far it seems relatively simple and functional. :3 And I had an iPod touch for 4-5 years and it's still kicking with no problems so hopefully this is as durable...

I love the iPhone 4S! I currently have a white iPhone 4s on AT&T and it's my life.

I want to buy either the Samsung Galaxy SIII or HTC One S.I like the IPhone but find the os IS boring compared to android. If you want a good strong smartphone get something like the blackberry bold. I have one now and its indestructible,No matter what I do to it :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm thinking of getting the Droid Razr on Verizon in the next few days, but I'm not sure yet if it's a good phone...

I have an iphone 4 and I love it!! I have not had any problems with it at all. In fact, it survived my car crash yesterday. It flew from my stereo area (I had it plugged into an aux jack) and smashed into the back of that consol and then landed in my lap. It didn't even crack the screen. I was pretty impressed.

I would suggest a Samsung Galaxy SIII. Android does really provide you with a ridiculous amount of customization and the whole package can be so much cheaper than an Apple product.

This happened to a guy I know when his phone buzzed for a considerable amount of time and did a leap of faith to the floor. From a desk. Not joking.

That's the third iPhone that I've seen like that after they have vibrated themselves off the desk!

When/if I get my new job I'll definitely be buying an iPhone! They look so cool. And then I'll have pretty much all the Apple products... iMac iPad iPod and iPhone! How sad is that?!
