I'll try just about any game and love to read anything from comics to fantasy to sci-fi. My favorite game outside of role playing is this awesome game called Heroclix. It is a superhero miniatures game, so that's pretty dorky.

I'm definitely a nerd lol. I watch anime and cartoons, know everything about all the movies that come out, play video games rather religiously, and I'm actually pretty intelligent. Also really good with computers
so apparently i'm a terrible nerd haha because i still have not unlocked the mushroom kingdom stage in super smash bros 64. and i'm horrible with samus and pikachu, and kinda horrible with donkey kong. my favorite characters are ness and luigi but they won't help me unlock that stage. uuuuggghhhhh :tears: lol. seriously, though. i want that stage.
total nerd here xD top of my year, three years running love reading and maths and writing and poetry and anime and spend most of my time on the computer. Plus im in maths club and enter maths competitions competitively............ lol, also my sports-related ability, sense of movement, direction, common sense, etc, is shocking. B)
I am really into politics as well. If I weren't majoring in communication, I'd probably be a political science major.
Guess I would consider myself one. I always keep up with all the latest technological advances from space to phones, play the hell out of every video game out there, and consider myself quite knowledgeable in areas like Star Wars and whatnot. I'm also the occasional anime fan. And in my free time, I try to get all my relatives POS computers working after they did god-knows-what to them.
Yes. I am. But I have to state in all fairness that I take extreme offense at the terms "geek", "nerd", "doofus" or any other suchlike term. When I was young, them's was fightin' words.
yeah I get that. I'm old enough to remember when those were not friendly terms...but they've grown to be nearly badges of honor. Heck, my boyfriend calls me his "little sexy ubergeek" :icon_bigg
I love how this thread was posted on my 20th birthday. Keeping on topic however, I am definitely a geek (nerd is too American I'm afraid ). I love collecting various mediums like films and television shows, books, albums and games, keeping up to date with technology, I'm on a computer course, you know the usual.
OK, fair's fair and I'll accept that the terms could be given an innocent construction: that of terms of endearment. With that, let me tell you my 'geek-outs': 1. Harry Potter head from Day One. 2. Original Trekkie, don't like that name, shoot me. 3. Original Star Wars fan - I was there at the premiere, baby!! 4. Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman - again the original from Japan. 5. The fashions of the Catholic and Orthodox Christian Churches. 6. Buddhist robes. 7. Comic book characters, Marvel in particular but am (almost original) Batman fan. I think he was GAY. 8. Gay celebrities and historical figures. 9. Film (I'm historian and critic). 10. Perfumes. 11. GOTH. LOVE IT!! The rest is too long a list. Games are out: I can barely stay at the computer on the internet without getting a migraine, eye troubles. Manga sucks (but I'd love to see more live action films made from them), and the reason is I was raised on those stupid Japanese cartoons from the 1960s- hated them then, hate them now and anything remotely like them.
