Brokeback Mountain was a pretty good movie! It brought more emotion than the Titanic, but not enough to make me cry, sadly. I wish I could cry more easily, but I guess I'm made of steel. :frowning2:

Just watched the Korean movie Two Weddings and a Funeral.

Although it was filled with stereotypes, and it was sad near the end, I actually really liked it.

That was the first LGBT anything from Korea where they actually had two men kiss, at least from what I've seen.

I have two more that I don't think have been mentioned yet:

No Night is Too Long and History Boys.

Here's one of the main characters from History Boys singing a great ballad that was used in the movie. My heart melts everytime I hear it... The song's actually quite popular and was performed by many great singers before, but mostly by females. Wonder why... :rolle:

Just saw Imagine you & me.

Really wanted to hate it because it is a romantic comedy of the worst schematic kind (except for the lesbian element).

Much to my dismay I actually liked it. What am I becoming? *lol*

I haven't really watched any LGBT movies, I suppose the closest is Scott Pilgrim vs. the World if that counts. Wallace Wells (the main gay character) is just awesome

An Incredibly True Adventure of Two Girls in Love- This movie starts off with a cliché- a popular rich girl and a kind of poor loser. I usually would’ve not liked this movie due to that cliché, but the quotes were just too cute and that made up for it. I found it cute- as I find most movies like this. Randy and Evie (the main characters) were just meant to be together.

After Stonewall and Before Stonewall- Do these count? They were informative and I think ever LGBT person should watch them.

But I’m a Cheerleader- Loved this one! It was funny and showed what really happens at camps like that. Sadly, however, I felt that the main character’s revelation isn’t believable.

D.E.B.S- It was funny and a bit predictable, but aren’t most romantic comedies? I loved the main couple and, overall, I was able to look past the cliché themes.

I Can’t Think Straight- This, despite being both British made and based on Middle Eastern people, was very easy to relate to because I come from a Mexican household that’s very strict. It deals with having expectations pushed on you and following your heart. The ending made it entirely worth the frustrating main character (the girl with four engagements) that I simply didn’t like once I looked past her looks. Both main characters are attractive and one is relatable and loveable. Overall, I like this movie and I’d watch it again.

It’s In The Water- I really, really like this movie. The romance was really good. And even if it was an “out late” movie, I really enjoyed it. I relate to the small town aspect of this movie. It was very funny and Alex (the main character) was super cute.

Prayers For Bobby- I was hesitant when I saw that it was a lifetime movie because my mother watches lifetime movies and I thought they were all about rape, murder, or cheaters. But this movie brought tears to my eyes and did something most movies can't- it made me feel. This is easily one of my favorites.

The Truth About Jane- Liked this one. The conflict between Jane and her mom was believable and relatable. It’s kind of cheesy, but so is just about every LGBT movie. I mean, not every lesbian has a mother whose best friend is a gay man and not every lesbian has a lesbian teacher to confide in. But Jane is relatable and lovable.

Great list Monique! The Truth About Jane is one of my favourite coming out movies, corny as it is!! Stockard Channing and Ellen Muth are both fantastic. I watched But I'm a Cheerleader for the first time in probably a decade the other night. I had forgotten how totally adorable Megan and Graham were, especially during the lovemaking scene and at the very end in the back of the pickup truck <333 I also agree with you about the Before & After Stonewall docs. They were very interesting and informative. They depicted really well what it was like to live as an LGBT person back in those days. Really puts things into perspective for our generation.

One of my other personal favourites is Heavenly Creatures. Kate Winslet and Melanie Lynskey are so good together!

P.S. Is anyone else super excited for the release of Passion, with Noomi Rapace and Rachel McAdams? It looks SO hot!! I can't wait!!!(!)

Cowboys & Angels. Gay theme is not the main theme of the movie, but it's definitely worth watching.

Watched Romeos at the LGBT center this evening and thought it was pretty good.
