Aliens and religion

I also thought I remembered someone mentioning aliens and pyramids on here:

The widespread studies into ancient astronauts is partly what inspired both Spielberg and Bay for Indiana Jones & Transformers. To me, as said, all the proof I need is notable Presidents speaking openly about it and the astronauts who actually landed on the moon.

They'd try to convert the aliens.

 

Unsure how old you are, thus you may not have remembered the news story, or simply don't remember it - but around the same time the film came out another religion (similar to scientology) formed saying that the Matrix film was their bible. It became an actual religion to some people. Odd, funny, weird - I know. But it oddly did happen.

I'd buy aliens. I'd struggle with "they came here", because humans are by comparison absolute morons using our technology alone (let alone social)

I think there'd be a few sects surrounding them as Gods, but I think there'd be more trying to kill them as demons.

 

With this I compare it to why do people go to the zoo? Or why do we send people in observe lesser formed nations? Same kind of thinking.

To me, that's the scary thing about them. Not much scares me. Ghosts - I'm ok with, they have some intent or purpose. Aliens, we know nothing about.

 

That assumes they've got a choice of inhabited planets to visit. We might simply be the closest. Imagine the reverse, if humans were capable of interstellar travel: we'd visit anyone and everyone we could get to.
