I have three vehicles - my current is an 1981 dodge ram half ton club cab long box 4x4, while my 1976 dodge adventurer pickup 2wd 3/4 ton club cab long box is waiting out the winter to get its floor repaired.

My third is my baby - 1972 Chrysler Newport Royale 2 door hardtop. Gorgeous car despite some recent abuse. I have plans for that sweetheart.

Actually, that is kind of a misconception about Range Rovers. I got one for a graduation present when I finished Alabama several years ago, and I have since bought another one, and have had no trouble at all. I will say that you would need to stay away from the model years 1999-2002...those are the ones where they had some issues. The were in the process of changing the entire body style and re-tool the entire suspension during those years...and there were some issues as they were trying to work the kinks out. But model years 2003 forward are perfect.

The Defenders are pricey as well. One of the reasons is that they simply are hard to find (I read somewhere that they can't import them from the UK anymore because of some regulation or some such...idk if this is true or just internet chatter)...and a lot of the Defenders are hand assembled, which adds to the cost.

Defenders built after 94 can not be imported into the US. After 95 all passenger cars and trucks under 8000 GVWR, were required to have driver and passenger airbags. Airbags won't fit into a defender with out extensive rework and with the volumes they sold in the US, it was too extensive of a change. Ones built between 86 and 94, are difficult to import as many foreign models don't meet emissions regulations. I've been following Defender pricing in the US and they are appreciating, as their numbers are dropping due to attrition.

Vehicles older than 25 years are easy to import as they don't have to meet safety or emissions regulations. In a few years the Ford Sierra Saphire Cosworth will be old enough to import easily. I would like to get one of those.

Ford Fusion. Nothing says gay like a mid size sedan.

Subaru is one of the few brands to offer a rainbow decal:

I used to have a lovely little truck. His name was Radar Red, and we went on many adventures together. 1994 GMC sonoma, and he had over 228,000 miles on him when I finally sold him. He was having transmission problems, and I needed something better on gas. I miss him so much, though!

I now have the Saturn Two Rocket. She's a little four-door Saturn. I think she is a 1999. She gets WAY better gas mileage than Red did, and she gets me from point A to point B. However, I hate how she handles. I got into a bad accident with a semi truck on the interstate, and I haven't really trusted her since. Granted, the semi was the one at fault and there was nothing me or Saturn Two could do, but still. Every time I take her on the interstate, I get nervous and wish I had Red (or The Blimp, my dad's Pacifica).

My next vehicle will be another truck. Doesn't have to be huge or shiny or impressive, as long as it's a truck. I honestly don't like my Saturn very much.

Am I the only one here who names their cars? :icon_redf It's a family thing... Mufasa, The Green Machine, Saturn One Rocket, The Blimp, Radar Red, Saturn Two Rocket. Come to think of it, we haven't named my sister's current car...

I have a Jeep Grand Cheerokee in my driveway. It's 18 y/o, and barely runs (but I don't drive anymore to avoid a panic attack).

I drive a mule for short distances. I stay on little used roads, it's not exactly legal for me. Shh. Otherwise I just take buses, owning a car is way too expensive! It's kinda shitty that they stop at 6pm, mind.

I'm a total Jeep guy. I've had two Grand Cherokees, and my current one is a 2004, which is awesome. I also really like the new body style Grand Cherokees (2011/2012), and I might buy one of those next...

If I were going to buy a car though, it would be an Audi S4.
