I came out as bi when I was 16 and as gay a few months ago, I was 18. I've pretty much accepted it for the most part but I tend to stay in the closet around certain people.

I was worried about it until 14, when I came to terms with it. Prior to that, I was more apt to think I just wanted to be a girl... not that I have a problem with that, but being a guy is quite fine, too. I came out to a few friends when I was 15, and to my parents when I was 16. Average teenage run, really.

I 'came out' as trans when I was 8, then went back into the closet. Then I came back out at 16, and went stealth just before turning 17

Started questioning at 16, knew for sure about half a year later still at 16. Came out to one person at 17 from my church and recently to a newly found distant cousin on FB. That's all so far, except I'm open online (apart from people I know IRL).

I started looking at guys in high school, but for some reaons refused to consider that I might be gay.
Started considering it when I was 22, and came out shortly before turning 23.

I just came into terms with my bisexuality recently, about months ago. But I don't think I'll be outing myself anytime soon yet.

I realised I was gay when I was 11-12, came out to friends when I was 14-15, and to my mum when I was 15. Pretty much as soon as that ordeal was over, I started having doubts that I'm not completely gay but I still say I am anyway. You could say I'm in the closet again but I don't really care anymore. No matter how liberal an area you live in, coming out at 12 or 13 is really impressive!

I realized that I was gay at the age of 12 but didn't really starting coming out to my friends until the last year of High School, which was when I was 18. The friends I told were comfortable with it and I'm still friends with them today. However, I didn't tell my family until I was 19, which was the summer after my first year in college.

    40. Unbelievable that it took this long to put everything together and be honest. The signs were there at 13, and indications all the way, but true acceptance late in life.
