Out of roughly 130 immediate relatives (grandparents, aunts & uncles and first cousins), I'm the only one that I know of. *sigh* That's what happens in French families here... They're all super catholic, old-fashioned in their beliefs and LOVE TO REPRODUCE.

I'm the only one that I know of in my family, although there is one male cousin who is probably gay or genderqueer (very effeminate guy). I've only met those family members when I was really young, so don't communicate with them at all to know for sure. I know my parents have distant relatives in the eastern U.S., Australia, and probably other places, but they don't communicate with any of them (I've just heard general comments about those distant relatives, don't know shit about them really).

After coming out I've learned that many of my family members and friends know friends that are LGBT (or these friends have LGBT family members), so there's lots of us out there. Who knows what the real numbers are though, since many remain closeted....consider how long it took most of us on EC to come to terms with sexuality and/or gender identity. Many others out there don't know of support resources yet or have the social environment conducive to self discovery.

I know I am the only one as far as immediate family goes, including all aunts and uncles and their children. I think it extends well beyond that as well, I am the only gay one. I remember one time at a funeral though someone pointed out that some guy was obviously gay. He is a part of my family but I have no idea how. I don't think he is even related by blood though.

One cousin is openly, flamboyantly gay. That's the only reason I know. Other than that, everyone else seems to be paired up with the opposite sex, so I can't say for sure.

If I had to guess, I feel like my brother is, but I'm not out to my family and he hasn't mentioned anything, so...

To the best of my knowledge...I'm the only one. And it kinda sucks at times.

My uncle is bi/kinsey 4, but he's married to a woman.
And his children, my cousins, all keep an open mind, though they are mostly straight.
And my brother is probably gay, but he's only eight, so too early to know for sure.
And my sister thinks girls can be hot, but she'd rather have a guy.

A bunch of relatives on my dad's side are gay or bi, but none on my mom's side are that I know of.

My dad's cousin is gay, and if you didn't know him it wouldn't be hard to figure it out
Also I have a cousin I wonder about

When talking about LGBT family members, I have two aside from me, a gay uncle and a lesbian aunt. But when it comes to the young generation, I believe I'm the only one. Since I'm the eldest son in my immediate family and second in my mother's line of grandchildren, I have great responsibilities to be a great man and start my own family and making the clan bigger. I'm not out yet, but if I am or will sometime soon, all other male figures in our family might get angry and start degrading me and my family. But I won't care  As if my sexuality will affect the way I could live my life

I am the youngest out of me and 20 cousins, many of whom have kids of their own. But even in my super extended family on either side that I know of I'm the only open Gay and my sister is the only other LGBT since she is openly Bi. But I still don't think most of my family has cottoned on to the fact so who knows.

Yes, I am the only one. And the only one of my friends! I feel quite alone, really, but 2342374023842 videos taught me that it actually will get better, so I'm okay
