Not at all. I play with huntsman spiders. Never had one bite me. (picture) http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/1/19/Huntsman-spider-in-hand.jpg If you treat them gently, they treat you the same.
I hate bugs and not in an Im scared of them kinda way, I just hate them. They're gross, they eat shit, they lay eggs in house. I see it I kill it
I would consider myself arachnophobic, even when I see a photo of a spider in a magazine I'd throw it straight across the room. But for some reason I didn't mind the CGI spider in LOTR.
I forgot one bug that I absolutely hate. Maggots. Cannot stand maggots. Not for shock value, not as a part of the great circle of life, nothing. Maggots are gross.
I can't stand bugs that will bite or sting you. I hate those bugs. I don't mind bugs if they mind their own business. For some reason, stinging bugs REALLY like to be around me. I kill them on sight if I see them.
Bugs give me a weird combination of revulsion and "blood-thirstiness" (or what passes for blood in them). Tiny ones I just sort of bat away or move away from. But if a moth or grasshopper ends up in my house, I WILL freak out...and I WILL kill it. And with a certain amount of satisfaction, and no remorse. Lex
Certainly I dislike them, and I can become afraid depending on the situation. But for the rest, our house is somewhat (not hugely, but somewhat) infested with various things, especially cockroaches, during summer, so I have a 'meh' attitude towards them. By which I mean, I happily kill any that I see. My main problems are with bees and wasps and stinging things. And of course the kamikaze flying cockroaches (seriously), which are the most terrifying thing ever, especially if you don't see them coming.
sad panda =( I don't kill any of them, except mosquitoes, fleas, ticks... actually i think that's all. You and i would be polar opposites on that front. I yelped with glee when a praying mantis flew onto my jacket, then played with it for a while. They're great to play with. Here's proof:
Not really scared of bugs. I'm nervous around bees and wasps, though. And I'm absolutely terrified of spiders. Other bugs, though I don't like touching them, I'm not scared of them.
i love bugs but mostly spiders! i go over my friends house almost every weekend and i play with his pet tarantula and a lot of the time i get to feed it. when i mean play i mean take it out of the cage! the spiders name is rex!
I would die if I even was in the room with a tarantula!! XD I'm really scared of bugs in general, but spiders are the worst. I have nightmares about them on a regular basis, and if I see one I have to kill it or else I'll be scared that it's on me for the rest of the day. I don't know how I keep it together today because a spider crawled on my notebook today in photography class. XD
Well, it's not "just a wasp" to those of us who are deathly allergic to them... But in general, I don't mind bugs (and find some of them pretty interesting) as long as they don't creepy-crawl up my pant leg. And I don't kill bugs that end up indoors - I escort them helpfully back outside. Except mosquitoes. I have no mercy for mosquitoes.
I kind of like that bugs are so little. They must go about their little bug lives quite unaware of us most of the time, except as godlike NAPKINS OF DOOOOOOM when we decide to take after them.
umm... if you cant stand spiders dont watch this.
i am fine unless its a spider on my or a fire ant [ cause if i get attacked by a fire ant i gotta get a shot : \ and thats not fun ] otherwise i think they're just fine as they are . leave them be and they will leave me be so i do...
Haha, a fun one was "scare the young girls on the train by playing with a huntsman i found" I was drunk, cheap kicks Not really games, but i enjoy watching them move, they're very graceful. Having one on my arm or hand and watching it move is entertainment enough. They're lovely creatures, really. Much more pleasant than any yappy little dog =D
I love bugs, but I think I'm taking caterpillars off the list. The last one I held thought must have thought my hand was a juicy leaf, and I do not appreciate the sentiment.
