    Hey all,

So 2 years ago I graduated college and moved from WI to UT. I've came out for the first time 4 weeks ago, and so have been coming out to my close college friends via email. I've been looking back at my email correspondence with these friends and found I've used a wide variety of adjectives to describe the coming out process.

    weird
    stressful
    empowering
    dumb
    hard
    liberating
    relieving
    'shouldn't be necessary'
    freeing

How do others describe this process? Any one have others to add to the list?

I think "scary" should definitely be in that list.

Hopefully one day it won't be necessary and will just receive comments like, "Oh cool." Or "Doesn't matter to me." If that happens I will miss the pride parades though.

I think I used pretty much all of those, including scary from Bowie. Illuminating and Uplifting are two words that I think apply to my process.

    Hmmm...

    Soul-shattering
    Jaw-dropping
    Heart-stopping
    Breath-taking
    Inspiring

    That's all I got. >.>

Liberating best describes it for me.
