Welp, I LOVE the movie better than Chocolate. I lost my downloaded copy and I couldn't find another good quality one, and I reeeeeeeally wanted to see Judy's "I'm Not a Fucking Drag Queen" song (andmaybethebodypaintingscene) so I watched it on Netflix. I figured I could just bury it in the recently watched list with some other stuff, and it's not like the title is revealing.

Netflix decided that because I watched like, 10 minutes of this movie that it needed to add an entire new section to our netflix library!

    Fuuuuuck me.

Learn from my mistake, fellow closeted gays; Netflix is evil, don't watch anything in the LGBT section, no matter how tempting it is. :|

Ahaha oooh man. If my family notices and something happens, I'll totally put it in that thread!

They're all kind of oblivious so I guess we'll see though ahaha

Went through the same thing! Tell whoever that you were watching 'Camp' (because it looked funny and has music), and it turned out to be a gay movie so Netflix added that section.

Just start watching random movies to throw netflix off. I think this echos the whole TiVo recommendations fiasco. Recording one episode of Queer Eye for the Straight Guy could make your recommendations gayer than The Pride Parade!

Ahaha oh man, really? I don't have TiVo so I had no idea it did that!

It's not safe anywhere anymore :'D

Lol, not really, just a little more sneaky and devious than is healthy. There are lots of mainstream movies that have 'gay' themes, and that can throw off your Netflix. I mean hell, I order "Brokeback Mountain" (it's not the gay cowboy movie...it's the gay shepherd movie, DAMMIT) and "Boys Don't Cry" ONCE, and suddenly I'm equipped with a fully functioning 'gay and lesbian' section.

Actually, the whole concept kind of bugs me. Why not just put them in with the comedies/dramas etc? The concept of making different sections only further serves to say there is something inherently 'weird' about us.

Idk. Even something as inane as 'Showgirls' is considered a gay movie in some circles. And so is 'Black Swan' (although frankly, I don't think that movie belongs anywhere. Seriously, what a bizarre movie) so there are plenty of things to 'tip' you into other categories.

Netflix always recommends me gay-themed movies. Fortunately, I pay for my Netflix, and you cannot access it unless you're logged onto my PlayStation 3, and you can only do that if you know my password.

Well i'm not out to my parents but they share access to my netflix account. i watch all sort of gay themed films and shows on my account and the front page is basically a homage to the gay. If my parents have noticed they haven' said anything. I sometimes think they forget they can watch netflix through their wii.

Tonight i went to watch the l word only to find it's now not available to watch instantly. damn netflix.

What you do is you rate all the gay movies 1 star

THEN THEY NEVER GIVE YOU A GLBT SECTION! Because they think you hate all the gay movies.
(I've watched like half the GLBT movies on netflix this way. LOL)

Also, if you want to watch any other LGBT movies then logo has a few decent ones for free if you want to check it out

    Hope people don't notice!

I thought you were going to complain about the price increase.

Lmao that's funny, Netflix is "out" to get us. I had the same problem and a friend of mine who doesn't know I'm gay came over and there was gay stuff all over my Netflix. Damn you Netflix, lol.

Although it's a bit unfair to rate all the LGBT movies 1 star....

It's a really powerful movie, I remember seeing a clip of it in a Race/Gender Studies class and had to brainstorm for a while before I could remember the title. Needless to say I watched it immediately . You must find a way!
