This beautiful antique hairfork that I just saw on Ebay. They want over 200$ for it, though... :frowning2:

Can’t change the past. No point dwelling on a different set of circumstances when this one is what I’ve got. But if the cards had played out differently, we might just have been something beautiful.

How am I going to survive this semester with a 0800 class and typically not getting done with work until 0330?

I could fall for Max Raabe. The song is genius! It's called "One cannot kiss alone". So sweet!

Apparently I'm really bad at wording things. I made a joke about someone and a friend actually took it seriously. Oh dear...awkward!!

The other day I looked for forty minutes just to find the gay and lesbian section of Barnes and Noble (because I was too embarrassed to ask where it was...) only to find a single shelf in the back of the store thinly populated with queer literotica. Nothing else.

I was looking for an academic book on transsexuality. Before I checked gay and lesbian, I'd already checked the Medicine, Psychology, Self Improvement, and Relationships sections of the store.

So I checked the website of another major bookstore chain to see if I could order the book I'm looking for through them. One of the only books they do have available on transsexuality is written by the Evangelical Alliance.

So confused. People are telling me to stay away from the person I love. I'm so lost. I don't know what to do :/.

I'm guessing you've already tried your local library? I was thinking that the Toronto library system has like a bazillion and one books on queer issues ... but then I realized you live in Alabama. So I guess the selection is more limited.

  13. This is why I NEVER buy books at major chain bookstores. The internet always has what I need.

I really, really don't want to start on this writing assignment comparing and critiquing scholarly articles about sovereign statehood. =/

I only needed Sunday off, more importantly Sunday night. ONLY Sunday, I would've been available ANY other day.

Guess who has closing shift Sunday night, and guess who gets to beg his coworkers to switch shifts with him.

We get a 4 day weekend this week, and I work Thurs night, Fri night, Sat night and now Sun night. That's not gonna happen, not a chance. I deserve to have a social life, regardless of how small it is.

sometimes part-time jobs are a bigger pain in the arse than they're worth; Then I see my pay-check and remember why I do it.

And now, because I feel too many of my posts are negative, here are some puppies

he's doing it again. I'll give it a week and if he doesn't stop it, I'm going to have to do what we both don't want. I can't do any more. We've spoken twice about this now and both times he said he'd stop.
