Yeah I'm an idiot, you're not meant to put it anywhere near your eye And it's the eye that I have eczema around lol Yeah I'll do that, so I'll get a cleanser lol Are BHA and AHA found in nappies? I have an article on chemicals in nappies for my chemistry exam last term, and all the possible health effects and stuff Hah my diet is absolutely terrible. I will eat fruit if it's given to me, but I don't even have much in the house because my mum just eats lettuce I can't stand green vegetables so I don't generally eat them. I am more willing to eat them now than I used to be, but because my mum's gotten used to my eating habits, she only gets enough vegetables for her most of the time. When I eat English food, it tends to just be carbohydrates (potatoes etc.) and a bit of meat. I eat croissants or weetabix for breakfast, which I suppose it ok. I eat a lot of microwaveable food, like burgers and miniature pizzas... During the day I used to snack a lot, I still snack a fair amount, but not as much. You know the sort of snacky stuff that's just full of sugar and fat...I think the fats are mostly cis fats, but even so it's a bit fail lol. I think the only vitamin I get enough of is vitamin D because I'm so light skinned that I only need about 10 minutes of sun exposure to synthesise enough Wow now that I list it all, my diet is even worse than I thought haha
I'm not as familiar with products in the UK but in the US, we have several types of disposable "towelettes". One type contains alcohol and is used to clean the hands when soap and water aren't available. The other type contains no alcohol and is intended to be used on more sensitive areas of the body like cleaning up when changing a baby's diaper or for adults after going to the bathroom. Some of the cosmetic companies have caught on to the idea and have made wipes that have a mild detergent, an astringent and in some cases, a mild exfoliant.
So basically wet wipes but more specialised then? We have neutrogena here so I can probably get something like that
lol, I've just looked back at all this, and we've all managed to escalate this beyond all proportion for a few spots. I've been telling you to see a doctor, and buy chemicals, and then there's another strand telling you to wash your bedding more, and then a third telling you to buy baby wipes. How much time every day are you going to spend keeping spots at bay, lol It's all reasonable advice though.
The diet that you mention seems to be a bit on the high side with carbohydrates. Not all carbohydrates are bad, obviously, as vegetables and fruits are the best carbohydrates available. However, eating cereal or breads at breakfasts, as well as pizza and any other thing that contains grains (such as wheat, oats, etc.) are quite high on the glycemic index, and can raise your insulin levels quite high. Many people who suffer from acne find much relief in lowering the amounts of breads and grains, thus lowering their insulin levels. Insulin seems to be a culprit for many things, and since eliminating all grains (even whole grains) and sugars from my diet, my skin has become a lot better. I still receive my carbohydrates from vegetables and moderate fruit consumption. Fruits are OK in moderation; however consuming large amounts of fruits will raise your insulin levels, as well. They are also high in a monosaccharide called fructose, and over consumption of this form of sugar can cause a whole array of health problems. I get in about 5-6 servings of raw vegetables a day by blending them in smoothies. They are RAW, not canned, which helps cut back on the salty taste. I usually blend about 2 cups of water with 3-4 cups of raw organic spinach and kale. I then add half of an avocado (this fatty fruit actually digests really easily, and helps nourish your skin from the inside out--plus, it counts as a fruit serving without the sugar), almond or coconut milk, a teaspoon of coconut oil (another very skin nourishing fat), perhaps half of a banana, or some berries and Stevia to sweeten the mixture. Once blended thoroughly and sweetened with the sweetener of your choice (I recommend stevia), you cannot notice the vegetables at all, aside from it's green color! That's why I call it a "Green Smoothie". I gave one to my mom, and she liked it quite well--before I told her what was in it!
I believe Olay also makes a similar product and that brand does seem to be in Europe as well as the US. Soap and a washcloth work just as well, but these are great because these products are great for throwing into a gym bag to use after a workout or to use at school or when you're traveling. And that's the key- there's no single magic bullet for treatment of acne (or "spots" for those on the other side of the pond). You have to try different things to find what works for you.
I think you just need to do what every other teenager does. And btw, being 17 means nothing. I'm 22 and I get pimples on my arms and legs. I've never gotten one on my face but still...for me I just have ongoing puberty...it's not really a big deal.
I'm pretty sure you can find the brand Garnier Pure in the UK (at least I was finding it when I was leaving there). It's not too expensive and it works fine. You probably can find it at Boots or Superdrugs.
Yeah I'll try to fix my diet It's just completely wrong lol I would get a blender but obviously my mother is in control of that kind of thing and we're possibly going to go into the red this month, so unnecessary spending can go and jump off a cliff If I find some money somewhere I'll get one though lol Yeah any random stuff from either of those two shops will probably work fine, and it's affordable too. It's good because I have easy access to both of those shops
