YouTube Censors Lesbian Kiss

That is sad the video got flagged...

 

Especially since its like really hot.

Youtube's been pissing everyone off since Google took over and made it a money making machine. It sucks. They need to make a site like how youtube used to be. It's just sad.

 

Well if they took out the video of the lesbians i understand because,you tube is a place where the videos in the website are for kids too.

 

There's TONS of gay and lesbian stuff on youtube. If they wanted to make it safe for the kids, get rid of the semi-porn stuff, not something that has no bad effect on a child.

 

What is it about everything "lesbian" is automatically so dirty? because some guys oversexualize it?

Woww Youtube. Wowww. They also flagged California Gays for a few days, but they brought it back up. Nice.

 

Shame, Google's ruined Youtube.

 

People saying Google ruined Youtube, or anything similar really have no idea what Google did for Youtube and is only basing that statement off of this which is extremely ignorant.

What people don't know is that a computer takes down/restricts videos based on how many people flag it. If someone got 4chan to troll the video flagging it for the kiss, the computer wouldn't know the difference between normal flagging and that and it would remained flagged until an employee reviews the video.

This video will be un-flagged when somoene looks at it (which will be soon) because it doesn't break any of the Youtube rules.

It also takes a certain amount of time for the video to come back up after before un-flagged.

Automatic flagging by a computer does far more good than bad.

 

Did anybody read that the censored version is only if you havn't logged in.

The uncensored version is still avaliable if you log in (to verify your age).

YouTube Censors Book Trailer (LOVE BOMB AND THE PINK PLATOON) Because Two Men Kiss

Today I launched my book, Love Bomb and the Pink Platoon, about a military experiment that turns an entire platoon gay. It's a satire of the minds behind Don't Ask Don't Tell, and a tribute to those who defeated it. The book is available across all major online outlets- Amazon, B&N, etc. I posted a professionally produced video trailer to YouTube, and shared it on my social networks.

YouTube, without notice or warning, pulled the video for "violating community guidelines." According to YouTube there was an internal review, but they offered no support, and no further explanation. This means someone(s) at YouTube watched the video and agreed with the bigots who flagged it.

I've been a YouTube partner for years without incident. The video alludes to two men kissing, though we never see it. YouTube has a long track record of censoring gay content without review or warning, knee-jerk responses to any depiction of gay men kissing that receives even a single complaint.

I do not believe that YouTube or its employees are bigoted. I do believe that they are frightened by- or at least overly influenced by- the bigots who use their site, and pressure their site to remove popular content.

Though the site is riddled with pornography (gay and straight, no links necessary), spam, and copyright theives, somehow my professionally-produced book trailer is an issue for a work of literary fiction is something that needs immediate censoring?

This egregious censorship is not only anti-gay, it's anti-American. Please help me shine a light YouTube's draconian policies and procedures that enables bigots to silence artists with one click.

So what kids need to learn is that gay=bad? If they think kissing is a problem, then remove kissing. If its not a problem, then don't discriminate against certain types of kisses.

 

Honestly, youd think with all the other racy or violent stuff on Youtube, this would have fallen under the category of so tame, its boring. I see two people kissing, regardless of what gender they are, it really doesnt jump out at me as being extremely lewd. If the girls in this video were doing something outright inappropriate for public consumption (ie pornographic, sexually explicit, etc.) then I can see the reasoning behind censoring the video, especially since a lot of younger kids watch Youtube. On top of that, arent there straight couples or just lone idiots doing things a lot worse than that on Youtube anyway? While I think freedom of speech, etc. is a fundamental right, & while I think that some degree of censorship can be justified (anything violent, illegal, etc.), banning stuff like this is just overly unneccessary & only goes to show either the values of the people running Google & Youtube OR how easily the people who run Google or Youtube will cave into pressure to reflect the values that some push on the rest of us...

 

and yet you can post videos of violence.

which is more dangerous to society? Gays? or harpy screeches?

 

Since when is two women kissing inappropriate for children? If kids see two women kissing like in that video, is that worse than the violent games some kids play? It's not cool when two women kissing is seen as inappropriate whereas violence is seen as normal on everyday tv.

Why can a straight couple make out with no problem? I personally think watching a straight couple is inappropriate if it's "inappropriate" to watch a lesbian couple.

 

Sooo youtube is fine with gay porn, but not two girls kissing in a non-pornographic way? Good job!!!

 

And yet they allow gay film trailers with men kissing? Or possible sex scenes between two men? Like honestly, double standard anyone? >_>
