No, not THAT first time. hehe My 1st time going to the LGBT Community Center. Tomorrow I'm going with a friend. I'm really super nervous and I want to puke, but I'm excited too. Any advice or suggestions?(!)
Oh man, I remember when I went to one with my friend. It was sad because we had to wear giant sunglasses and hats so no one would recognize us going in, but we took them off once we got in. Don't be nervous! It's going to be awesome! You'll meet a lot of people like you there. Just be yourself, that's all I can say. Go as you are and have a great time.
LOL. No,no! Don't do that! Ha ha! Go in there and have a good time. Engage in conversations with people! You'll leave with like a hundred new friends on Facebook or Myspace.
Yaaay! That's the spirit! Just make sure you look down every now and then. You might trip over some small person. :eusa_doh:
OMG! I had the greatest time EVER!!!!! There is something so amazingly great about being around other gay people (not that EC isn't fabulous) that I can hardly put it into words. I feel so great right now!!!! LGBT Community of (name of town I live in) here I come!
Hahahaha! I told you! Wasn't it just awesome being around people just like you? You feel all included and whatnot! Glad you had a great time.
I'm glad you had a good time in the community centre! It takes a lot of courage to go into one and actually participate in activities and such. I know I couldn't have the guts to do it. Kudos!
I've never been to an LGBT Community Center but after hearing about how much of a good time you had, I might check my local one out.
I don't mean to hijack your thread but hearing about what a great time you had, I was curious what do you do exactly? Do you sit around and chat with one another or do you listen to a lecture? What else do you do? Thanks!
I'll join in on high jacking your thread So, people just go in and then what? I'm really curious, but not ready to go to mine yet xD
well granted, the one here is small. its run by a small group of lgbt people. but they have different groups they are trying to start and stuff. its fairly new here, within the past 6 months. so its just trying to get established.
