Funny responses you got when you came out

My boss. I had a Marshall Lee t-shirt on under my dress shirt since I needed to do laundry, and his kids love Adventure Time.

Boss: I love Adventure Time, but I prefer the regular instead of the gender bent Marceline.
Me: Yeah, you'd prefer the girl.
Boss: So then why would you prefer the guy?
Me: I'm gay.
Boss: ....okay....

He hands me a file folder full of information about someone who might potentially become a client of our company. I have dinner with him and he says he wants another night to decide and asks to have dinner with me again. The next night we have dinner again and he asks me out.

The next day:

Me: Boss, I can't take the new client's file.
Boss: Why not? I was certain you'd be the best manager for him!
Me: Uh, yeah...we're going on a date.
Boss: I beg your pardon?
Me: We're DATING!
Boss: Crap! You're a little too good at bringing in new clients! Fine, I'll give him to [coworker]. Go have fun.

So this happened.

 

I've only come out to a couple of friends but I got a really funny and sweet response from my pansexual friend. She told me she was really proud of me and that she had a feeling I might not be straight and then she hugged me almost to death haha. (!)

 

I was at a party with a group of friends, at least half of which know I'm a lesbian. One of the friends who knows was teasing me about something and I was just barely listening and kepts saying 'no' to him to wind him up, but then another guy burst out laughing and me and the first guy were just like 'what?' Turns out the first guy had said 'men', to which I had responded 'no' and the second guy was laughing because he thought I'd been tricked into admitting false gay-ness. Then I was just like 'you didn't know?' because I forgot that some of the group didn't know and his face was the epitome of 'wtf' and it was a wonderful moment. He looked so confused and sad that I'd ruined his joke. :')

 

Me: I have something to tell you.
Her: Are you dying?
Me: No...
Her: Ok then I'm going first. I'm bi.
Me: Oh snap! I'm Pan! And a bit genderqueer.
Her: Yay! Let's do the sex together! Me, you and the other you. One giant two-way threesome!

I still think she's a bit nuts to this day lol

 

well mine was very weird, I actually had to convince my friends that I was gay cause they refused to believe me ... some funny responses were
"you're lying, you're probably drunk"
"you're lying, are you high?"
"Swear to God"

and then I was like, think about it, have I ever said damn that girl is hot ... and one friend said this

YAY! MY 100th POST!!!

After a number of questions, I finally told one of my friends.

Me: Ok, I'm bi.
Friend: I thought you were gay...
Me: You mean you're not surprised?
Friend: I am a bit. Why are you bi?
Me: ...because I am!
Friend: But now you'll have twice the trouble!!

I wish I had a funny story about coming out....all I got is "Omfg not cool bro" and "do you want to fuck me or something?"

 

Friend: Oh really?! Wow, Ok, now I feel bad
Me: Why?
Her: I used to think you were just....submissive
Me: Submis...excuse you, girlfriend!
etc etc

 

My best friend was hugging me and crying after I told her because I started crying and we were in a public setting and then I said very loudly

My first person was (and still is) in 5th grade, and I was helping him with the Siebold the water elite for on his copy of pokemon Y. I told him and he pretty much said something along the lines of "Cool. Now what were you saying about Will-O-Wisping the gyarados?"

 

The whole ordeal was pretty shitty for me but my sister did do something funny afterwards:
Her: So... you like... girls?
Me: Yeah. I don't base my romantic/intimate relationships off of gender identity/sexuality. I'll be with anyone regardless of their genitalia or sexuality.
Her: Oh.. okay
Me: . . .
Her: Just don't get a crush on me
Me: I wont! I'm not into incest!
Her: Well you did say anyone, just gotta make sure!

My friends: You are the only straight person here
Me: (accidentally thinking out loud) A have been thinking I am a little bit bi.
Roommate: Does a double take and nearly falls over while sitting

Response 2: (Back story, a few days before hand a friend had asked me if I was bi, because she had asked me about demisexuality, and it was explaining that someone can be bi, gay or straight and still be demi)

Me: We went out drinking and I said something I wasn't meaning to, (story above actually).
Friend: What did you say?
Me: Remember the question you asked me the other day, and I said No?
Friend: Yea.
Me: Yea.
Friend: Ooh I want the details!! (This was said while she was sitting on the end of bed and hit my blankets in excitement).

 

Teacher: I totally support gay rights (paraphrased)
Me: Oh that's cool. I also happen to be gay.
Teacher: Well, I mean you DID give off a bit of a Liberace vibe.

 

My sister was both very happy and angry after I told her and my mother.
She was happy because I've never told anyone about something that personal, and angry because I didn't told her before I told my mother. I spent like 2 minutes laughing at her.

 

Hm, let's see...

Guy friend: Hey, who do you like?
Me: [says girl's name].
Guy friend: I mean who do you have a crush on?
Me: I know. I have a crush on her.
Guy friend: Oh... WAIT! SO ARE YOU, LIKE, A LESBIAN THEN!?
Me: Uh... maybe?
Guy friend: What!? Since when!?

Reason I said 'maybe' was because I wasn't completely sure at the time.

Me: *ranting angrily* Ugh, she's so oblivious! She just doesn't get it! When will she figure out I like her!?
Other guy friend: You like her? As in, more than a friend?
Me: That's what I've been saying! How long does it take you to catch on!? You didn't know I was gay?
Other guy friend: *blank stare* So... you wouldn't be willing to date me then? What if I paid you?
Me: -_-

My little sister: So you like girls, right?
Me: How do you know!?
My little sister: Because you're obsessed with that girl at school.
Me: It's not an obsession!
